We had and are currently having a terrible time with this business. Our wedding is 3 months away. Samantha stopped messaging us December 22nd. She was supposed to get back to us with a list of vendors. Had someone that was supposed to reach out with our invitations on the 1st of January. That didn’t happen so I messaged her again radio silence for 2 weeks. Because this wasn’t the first time she stopped communicating. We sadly let her go. Then conveniently her teenage daughter messaged hours after firing her via text. Saying her mom was in the hospital with COVID. We said that was sad but because the wedding was 3 1/2 months away we wanted our money back and wanted to terminate our agreement. Which could’ve been avoided had she reached out sooner. Again there was no response from January 6th to March 1st. After many attempts to reach her. On all platforms. We let her know we plan to see her in small claims court. Then again her teenage daughter reached say her mom is on oxygen. We find this suspicious because only when things escalate do I the bride get a response. She refuses to talk to my fiancé. Blocked him 20mins later after he messaged her on Facebook. We asked to be put in touch with her business partner. We were informed that he stopped working in October which I didn’t know until today March 1st. She avoids giving us the $2500 refundable amount. She’s capable of posting on Facebook and blocking people. But can’t seem to manage to return the money or message us for that matter. I don’t know what she is thinking. She seems to think it’s ok to withhold the refund for work that has never gone beyond phone conversations.The two responses we’ve gotten had nothing to do with business just that she’s to sick to do anything.This is not a professional business.She is unreliable and feel scammed out of a substantial amount of money that is ours per the contract.I was excited and happy when I first met her and he partner.I gave her the benefit of the doubt.I know more about her family life then how to get things done for my wedding.She always had an excuse for something.She brought her kids to all our meetings.She made me talk to all of the vendors most of them didn’t know who I was or who I was referring to.We made the 4 1/2 hour drive a couple of times just to not meet with her or shoot scramble for a meeting last minute. But still Kept her on as our Wedding Planner. Wedding Planner should make your life easier but she made it very stressful .Sadly it’s more beneficial that I do it myself along with my fiancé and his mom.We coordinated with the venue themselves.She seems really scattered and just unprofessional . She really does need a partner I don’t understand why she doesn’t think to look for another one because her teenage daughter does not suffice. Below I’m posting our conversations and contract so people know what they’re getting themselves into. I also noticed that most of the stuff on her pages are years ago even though she’s had a few weddings this year supposedly and she hasn’t posted anything about them. It’s simply all hearsay. I sadly would never recommend this business to anybody. She likes to sugarcoat stuff and make you feel important in person but that’s about it. I would suggest paying the extra money for a good wedding planner don’t go to cheap route and possibly be scammed. And have to take legal action. EDIT: we’ve now heard from others that not only is she perfectly healthy so is her daughter. She’s stolen money and supplies from other people. She has shut down her business without telling her customers. She is a fraud,liar and a thief. Not to mention that her morals are questionable.She involved children into her lies.We thought it was reasonable just to take her to small claims court. My fiancé and I have decided we are planning on suing her not only for the money but emotional damage. I had a seizure because it’s causing me too much stress. Thank you for the information.
