Absolutely the best kayaking experience I've had. Every employee was super helpful and inviting. The actual kayaking trip was beyond perfect!! I loved that we were able to stay in the calmer waters if we wanted and also got to experience the power of Lake Erie. I also enjoyed that it wasn't a guided trip. I like to screw around and not be on anyone else's time. We will definitely be returning!

The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and very helpful! We have very little experience and the Rocky River was a great place to start! Very peaceful! Lake Erie was gorgeous as well!

You have to book online even if you are right there in person. They will not let you book there, so if you do not have a cell phone or computer, you cannot come to this place. They make you take your cellphone out with you or you cannot go out (they say it’s for contacting you, but then why wouldn’t they provide a walkie talkie instead of expecting you to use your own personal belongings). they keep your drivers license while you’re out… all ridiculous to me. Definitely not a place you can just show up and rent a watercraft from, plan ahead if you want to go here, as it’s not easy and they make it more difficult.
Definitely recommend the places that rent watercraft’s at the flats over this place.

I have attached photos of my trip here as evidence of my using the company, as the owners only defense for their poor rating was that I must have not actually been there. I have actually rented from this place twice. As seen in the owners reply to my review, I hope it is evident how he runs a business. I would also like to caution other reviewers, as he looked up my information and called a family member of mine and left a voicemail.

Reserved online. Came. They gave a quick safety tutorial and off we went. Great spot. We had fun.

The scenery is nice and the water is calm. It's a popular spot, so you feel connected to other people, but it's not too crowded to enjoy open space.

No better option for canoeing and kayaking in Cleveland! The best part about the location is that you have the option of spending all of your time in the river of the marina or you can paddle out to Lake Erie at the end of the river where you are free to boat!

I would recommend checking the weather in advance because if the wind gets too fierce they won't let you out into the Lake because of unsafe water conditions. The staff here is super helpful and really informed about everything going on so it is really easy to check in, have it all explained, and then get going rather quickly! Pricing may seem a little high, but compared to other places it is very reasonable and there are also lots of different rental options you can look through.

We are very occasional paddlers. We kayak a couple of times a year. This was the first time we've rented from 41 North. Everyone in our party agreed it's our favorite place thus far. Reservation and check in was seamless; staff was super nice; scenary was lovely. We will definitely be back
