In my younger years, I worked as a wedding consultant for about 10 years, and I've seen things. So, when it was time for my two oldest daughters to have their B'not Mitzvah, finding an event planner was a top priority. I had heard of Simcha Sisters from many people at our synagogue, and gave them a call. Throughout the process Tanya and Kirtina were great to work with. I could tell immediately that they had a lot of experience with event design, and would be happy to help with all of that if you wanted that. However, being a bit of a control freak, I already had a vision in my head, and really wanted to take the reins on the planning. They were the perfect sounding board throughout the process. We used a lot of their vendor recommendations, which worked out really well. We did our service and party at the Tech Museum in San Jose, and in addition to managing the timeline, there were a lot of vendors to manage, as well as decor set-up much of which I had DIY'd myself. Tanya and Kirtina handled everything flawlessly and I was really able to be a part of the service and party without worrying about anything else. If you are on the fence about whether or not you need an event planner, you definitely do, and Tanya and Kirtina are great at their craft. The icing on the cake when you work with Simcha Sisters is that they understand Jewish events and culture and all its nuances. It's one less thing to have to explain, you are immediately on the same page and ready to work together. I highly recommend them and will be calling again in 2026 when it's time for my youngest's bat mitzvah!
