If I could give 6 stars I would! Our party consided of two kids (11 and 4) and 3 adults.

Rich called the day before because he was concerned about fog. He didn't want us to drive a long distance and not go out. I told him it was okay because we were coming to see the bay either way. My kids wanted to put their feet in the ocean (we're from the Midwest).

He called again the morning of our trip. The fog seemed to be lifting. When we got there the fog rolled back in. We went anyways.

We had a blast! He took us to see seals and sea lions. We even saw porpoises! He was very knowledgeable and quite personable. I would recommend this to anyone.

Directions:
The address in Google Maps takes you to a restaurant. Before you turn left to go into the restaurant's parking lot, go straight to the marina gravel lot. They have outhouses so I would use a restroom before I got there. They were okay for outhouses but is what it is.

Captain Rich is the man! He made the most of a day without wind for my dad's 70th and Rich kept the vibes high and the laughs coming. Thanks Rich!

A must when visiting Bodega bay! Captain Rich took us out on his sailboat and made our experience so much fun! He was knowledgeable about the area and had a great personality. He was easy to get a hold of with affordable pricing. We enjoyed our ocean cruise.

For Christmas I bought a Groupon to go sailing with my parents and sister which we finally used in June. There were no hassles in reserving a time to go sailing with Rich. The process was very easy and Rich was very timely in responding to my emails. We arrived at the marina at 9:30am and set out through the channel into the bay (we returned back at the dock about 3 hours later). He offered to let my family work the tiller, which my dad and sister certainly took advantage of. We returned a few hours later after an amazing day of sailing out on the bay. Rich recommended a few restaurants for my family to have lunch at, and we ended up taking him up on one of his suggestions. The food was great. It was an all-around amazing morning and my family thoroughly enjoyed their Christmas present.

Loved our sailing experience with Rich! Fun, relaxing and even let us bring our dog along. I'd definitely recommend going out to explore the ocean with Rich to enjoy the ocean waves, wildlife, and his awesome stories. Thanks!

Never sailed before and sailing has been one of my wishes. Rich is a very knowledgable, funny and experienced captain. He has the patience to answer my million questions and likes to hear others' stories too. i saw lots of birds, mammals, although we didn't catch a fish today. it's a wonderful experience and i may come back.

Called the night before for confirmation of trip the next day at 2:00. Rich confirmed and said he had taken people out earlier on a motorized ride because of no wind. The next morning I called to cancel because of no wind and we were all looking to go sailing. He later returned my call and said he needed a 24 hour notice for cancellations. I told him I did not see this on the web site I paid for the trip. I paid for four for a cost of $402.80. After several contacts he reluctantly returned $190.00. I told him I felt this was unethical and that we are all seniors on a pension and saved for this adventure to go sailing. I told him I would be willing to forgo one person cost since this seem more fair. He has decided his gesture of partial return was sufficient. I told I now pursue a full refund because of his decision not to respond.
