So when in Borrego, you must stop at Mirage Gas and Liquor.
Quite the step up.
Entire menu of good stuff, pizza 14" C+P 14.99!!
Crust is bomb airy, not doughy or flat crust.
Only bad point, is there's no outside/inside seating......
YET ( I'm hoping ?)

Great alternative to the pricey markets. Well stocked shelves with plenty of choices to find a quick dinner to cook at home. Beer and liquor prices in line with the norm and some bargains. Even cheap cigarettes if you're not picky about brand. Top it off with a super friendly and polite family running it and you can't lose. No tourist trap here.

What would I do without the Mirage! Where do I start. Nick and his entire family are fantastic people. I love the Statue of Liberty Head they have out front. Nick's brother got it from the Ghost Busters. Someday he will finish it complete with the arm holding the torch. They are a

lways pleasant and greet you with a smile. They are open until 12:30pm when the rest of Borrego rolls up at 9pm. They have great prices on their gasoline $4.99 last time I looked. They have a vast array of products from food to booze and many household items. It's my go-to store. Can't beat it!

Gas pumps where working, staff friendly. Had outside Porta John's tho? Clean but hate to smell it in summer time..

We needed to fill up before exploring Anza Borrego. Pumps are a little slow, but why complain? Take a minute to relax. The pumps may have been slow because they were all being used at the same time. Went inside and was surprised by the amount of grocery items they had, so I bought extra items for our trip. A very kind, older gentleman behind the counter helped me find what I was looking for.

Left my wallet in here some random person showed up at my motel and handed my bent up drivers license to the front desk and stole the rest of my wallet after they gave them my wallet. They stole my birth certificate my social security card and all of my debit cards.
