Throughout the planning process, especially in the month leading up to the event, they were extremely helpful, answering all our questions promptly—even ones outside their typical responsibilities. They went above and beyond, even helping with our seating chart just two hours before the event. Their ability to prioritize our needs in the moment while keeping our guests happy was truly impressive.

On the day of the wedding, they handled every issue that arose with speed and grace. We didn’t even know about the few hiccups until after the event, which speaks volumes to their expertise and efficiency.

Our experience with My Storybook Events was nothing less than spectacular. They helped us plan our dream wedding and the execution was flawless. One thing to note is that the Storybook team truly knows how to think outside of the box, implement creativity, and made us feel at ease and comfortable throughout our events, which was needed while throwing a wedding in the midst of a pandemic. On top of all this, as our reception was different from the traditional indian reception due to it being outdoors, the seamlessness displayed by the Storybook team left us pleasantly surprised to say the least. When we decided to move forward with our Sikh wedding we knew we would need a planner, there was no way we could figure out all the details and do the research for vendors and schedule and all of the important bits that make a wedding less enjoyable when you're also the main event. We went for the full service coordination for our blended Sikh wedding and started planning a year in advance. Throughout the planning phase Goldie made sure to help us figure out the styles and details that we wanted but didn't know how to voice since neither of us had been dreaming about our wedding days since we were children. She helped narrow down our styles and recommended the best vendors based on what we wanted and within our budget. That alone saved us so much time and stress over the last year. When it came to the wedding week that was when I felt the most grateful for her as she had meetings with all the vendors confirming our choices and itineraries, she was there before and after to make sure all ends were tied, made sure we were eating and hydrated, and solely focused on enjoying ourselves with our family and friends. Last minute changes that occurred because family will be family (?) she handled with grace and calm, where I know I would've been frustrated and not able to enjoy the festivities. Every single event we were able to truly enjoy, dance and laugh with our family and friends. Without a doubt this wedding would not have been so unlike any other without the team at My Storybook Events. Also, they are incredibly affordable, especially considering how much weddings cost and how much headache we were saved from, let alone how much time we saved with Goldie's experience and knowledge. Truly worthwhile and wonderful people, highly, highly recommend them to any who are looking for some help.

I strongly recommend using this team for wedding planning!! We used Goldie for month of services; she and her team were fantastic.

We had several planning meetings where we went over every detail of the day - whether that was discussion around when to have speeches, how long cocktail hour should be, and her expert advice gave the best experience possible. Our friends told us that was one of the best events planned! But those details we discussed were amazing down to moments - for example, she documented that my uncle had to give the bartender the keys to the car to unload alcohol, and facilitated that process. The overall planning and eye for guest experience / flow but also thinking of every detail was extraordinary.

Goldie made herself available for any question or anxiety I had. When I wasn’t sure how long to hire our makeup artist for, I called her and talked thru our options. When we struggled to get a hold of one vendor, she facilitated calls with them and asked them questions we never thought of.

And most importantly, the day itself ran seamlessly. I’m extremely detail oriented and typically get stressed during events because I want them to go well. However on my wedding day I never worried. We had a lot of wind that day so some last minute decor changes had to be made, but I wasn’t worried about the core elements of the vibe / event changing because I trusted Goldie so so much to maintain our vision. We were running behind a bit during the reception but she knew how to move guests to different areas to keep them engaged and comfortable.

Her team also took on small but incredibly important tasks such as bringing frames for photos to put on the welcome table, easels for welcome signs, and printing the seating charts. She even put water bottles on every seat as a last minute decision because it was a warm day.

I know there was so much she did behind the scenes I probably don’t know about, and it’s impossible to list everything she did, but overall she cared about this event deeply and it showed in her execution. Her success is measured by a successful event and an stress-free bride / groom / their families, which is exactly what we got. I’d recommend her to anyone. Thank you, Goldie and team!!

We worked with Goldie from My Storybook Events for our wedding festivities in 11/2022 and it was a lovely experience! From the start, Goldie was very accommodating and open. We started working with her in the middle of our planning and she new exactly move forward with it. Her experience, knowledge, and contacts in the industry were so helpful, especially since we had a few last minute changes!! She new how to guide us, and at the same time was able to incorporate all of our traditions and details which were important to us. I originally hired my Storybook events in late 2020 because I had very little experience with Indian weddings and traditions. At the time, I wasn’t even engaged yet, and wanted to secure them ahead of time to ensure that I had my dates locked in. I specifically worked with Goldie Sharma and she was phenomenal. I got to see her in action at our engagement party, which was the very first event, and that kind of solidified for me that she was going to do a phenomenal job with our wedding. And just as expected, my wedding week was exactly that, phenomenal, thanks to all her planning and coordination. I think in the three years that I worked with her, there was only one or two miscommunications. I feel like that is so incredibly rare, especially considering for how long of a period of time I had worked with her. I honestly cannot say that about any other vendor I’ve ever come across in my entire life lol. Her communication, professionalism, kindness, compassion for planning and coordinating, and always offering her best practice advice, but going with what you specifically want, is literally 100/10. She genuinely cares about what you are interested in, but will tell you what is best practice, and what she recommends according to her experience and her clients previous experiences. I am a planner when it comes to my family and friends as well, so I often wondered if I would come across a wedding planner that was as precise, organized, and detail oriented like I was, but Goldie is that and much more. My engagement party, entire wedding week, and reception party, were all planned very successfully and coordination was done very smoothly. I recommend her to everyone and anyone that I come across. I think another thing I really really liked about her team is that they do include your family and consider their opinions, which with brown family is very important. I feel like many other vendors don’t really consider that, even coordinators or planners. I also got the chance to work with Jaspreet from her team during my engagement and wedding week, she is just as sweet, kind, and organized. Their entire team works very well with each other and it’s honestly very refreshing and satisfying. I don’t get to say this about a lot of vendors, but her team was definitely one of the vendors that when I saw them walk into the room, I knew I could take a deep breath and sit back and let them take over because I was in good hands. That’s a lot coming from me! So, if you’re looking for a wedding planner and are unsure of hiring her team, don’t hesitate. It’s totally worth it!
