My partner and I were on a road trip in October 2024. It was late when we pulled into Bridgeport. The small town looked really cute with a handful of hotels and places to eat.
The staff at the Ruby Inn, where we ended up staying was very accommodating. The room however cost 180.00 for one night, a Queen bedroom. The carpet and the decor looked like they had transported from 1980. I honestly think the sculpted carpet had to be a minimum of 20-30 years old. If it hadn’t been so late, we would have ask for our money back and left.
The cute restaurants and bars, (all of them) were closing at 8:30 and it wasn’t possible to get served dinner, anywhere in town even though they advertised staying open later. The bar wasn’t serving any food at 8:30.
Lone Pine Ca. not more than a 30 min. drive further South was adorable. We wish we would have known to go a bit further.
Our advise is to drive through Bridgeport without stopping! The value for the dollar at the Ruby Inn was a 3 out of 10.

Our second stay here with our dog. Very friendly staff. Room was clean and comfortable. Very pet oriented with fenced yard for dogs to run. Great location. Small fridge and microwave in closet. Contrary to amenities listed, NO continental breakfast.
We will definitely stay here again when in the area. Happy traveling! Highly recommended.

This is the best kept secret in Bridgeport. The room was clean. Even though the motel is older, it is well maintained and has been updated through the years. The staff was friendly and helpful. We would recommend this as one of the best mom and pops we have stayed in.

Last minute stop on a roadtrip. We called at 10pm with a check in time around 1am - office staff was happy to accommodate despite the late hour.

The room was spacious but a little outdated, to say the least. The shag carpet on the floor in a place the sees snow (and a number of other things for that matter) was the only real red flag - which honestly isn’t a big deal at all.

Otherwise, everything was super cozy and worked perfectly. We didn’t use the shower, but nothing stood out as unclean or broken.

Overall, it’s a perfectly fine place to rest your head. By no means is it fancy, but it’s a cute little time capsule. Wouldn’t hesitate to book again if needed.

Stayed overnight for the trout opener and eagerly anticipated a day of fishing ahead. However, upon retiring for the night, we were dismayed to discover ants infesting the bed and furniture nearby. We attempted to address this upon checkout, but were informed the establishment wouldn't be open until 7:30 in the morning. After reaching out later, we were simply told it was "that time of year" for ants, with no offer of a refund despite the pervasive ant problem. Given the presence of ants, it's likely other pests are also present. It's advisable to thoroughly inspect your room upon check-in.

I'm so glad that a Snow storm made us stop at the Ruby Inn. We felt so Welcome from the very start. Rooms are clean and Everything you could use. The towels were folded in Swans and the toilet paper was folded nicely. I left an important item there and they are mailing it back to me. If I had a reason to be in the area again I would Love to stay there.

Stayed in a room for the trout opener. Excited to go fishing the next day we went to bed only to notice there were ants in the bed and on all the furniture near the beds. I tried to tell them when I checked out but they don't go into the office until 7:30 in the morning. I then called them later that day and they told me it was" That time of year" there was no offer to refund the room even though we had ants everywhere. There are ants. There are likely other bugs... Definitely check your room before you go to sleep.
