My wife and I had a great time on our tasting tour with Stagecoach. Our driver/guide was a wealth of knowledge about the area and wine in general. We went to three wineries with lunch at the second. Two out of the three wineries we would never have found on our own so that made it even more of a value for us. We were picked up and dropped off at our hotel which made it very convenient and safe. We recommend them highly.

I did ALOT of research & made ALOT calls before picking a company to choose for Winery Hopping. My main & number one reason for picking Stagecoach was because it was one price for the whole deal (lunch, tax and tip for the driver included), where as most other companies give one price for example $160 + tax + tip & some don't even include lunch.
There seems to be alot of mis-communication from this company & they really like to email/text instead of picking up the phone to call you. It kinda felt like talking with a robot because you never actually spoke to a person leading up to or after booking. I have done tours like this many, many times in Santa Barbara & this is NOT normal practice. Most companies will call you to confirm your pick up time & pick up location because many times the case is you could have switched hotels or things may have changed. Also, how many vacationers who are not on business actually check their emails or even have access? Luckily, I did or there may have been a bad outcome.
I didn't receive a call from Stagecoach leading up to my tour date, so the morning of I realized I better call. On top of this with COVID you never know if a company could cancel because of certain circumstances that may have come up. I called & to no surprise no answer so left a voicemail, but within minutes received at text message (again speaking to a robot). The message basically argued with the fact that I should have received an email (which i did) confirming my booking. Ok, in that email it clearly stated the following communication: A reservation specialist will contact you to confirm your reservation and pick up time. I received no response back ;/
If I could provide a name of the person that was sending the emails or texting I would, however they didn't provide one in any of those forms of communication. My guess in speaking with our tour guide/drive it was the owner who I believe is a man and/or a lady named Connie.
In terms of the actual tour & driver, it was fun, the driver was super nice & personable. He always would offer to take your picture as much as you wanted at the wineries. This company takes you to three wineries. We went to the following: Buttonwood, Pence and Bella Caval Farms. Buttonwood, the people working there were very snooty, rude & you don't get a tour there, you just sit in like park setting. The other two stops were AMAZING!

Overall, would I use this company again probably not as there are so many other options out there!

I'm a bit late to review due to life happening and all that sort of fun, but my wife and I had a great enough experience that I still had to make sure to come back and properly review.
All in all a well curated experience. My wife and I decided to take this tour to celebrate our first wedding anniversary this past October. And while our tastes in wine differ, this tour gave each of us something brand new to experience, enjoy and share.
We were able to experience all walks of the wine crafting life. From a few boutique wine choices to sample very limited finds. A well established vineyard and winery. The blossoming business of up and coming dreamer. Finally the quite rare to taste to special invitees only.
All of those who welcomed us in were just as kind, courteous and knowledgeable as our tour guide himself.
This was more than just a escort drive around the valley to drink up wine, this was a learning experience. About the valley, about the joys and sorrows these entrepreneurs experience, about the exciting stories and future plans for the birth of another fine vintage and yes, about getting to enjoy some of the best reds and whites we've tasted in all our years.
Fantastic anniversary event or for any reason at all.

Had the pleasure of touring the Santa Ynez wine country with our host Kurt Kummerfeld with Stagecoach Wine Tours this past weekend. If you are looking for a host that lives and breathes wine then he's your guy. He also has a vast amount of information on the area including types of grapes, soil etc. He also knows a bunch about cheese and the pairings. My wife and daughter also had a phenomenal day and we all give Kurt 5 stars. The 4 wineries that we stopped at were first class as well. It was a memorable day.

My husband and I booked this tour and had a really fabulous time. Tyler was our driver/host and was great about noting points of interest while we were driving. He was great to talk to. We went to three wineries and had our lunch (with a little cupcake for our anniversary). Really a great day! We highly recommend this tour. How can you beat being picked up at your place so you can just truly enjoy the entire day? And by the way we joined the wine club at two of the wineries and bought 2 bottles at the third.

Cannot recommend this place enough. If you’re looking for the most personal, intimate and informative wine tasting experience you owe it to yourself to book with Stagecoach. We went for n a weekday (to avoid the crowds) and what we got was the most memorable wine tasting we have ever been on. Tom is a fantastic guide and a wealth of wine knowledge and his relationship with the wineries we went to was second to none. We cannot wait to book with them again!!

Having used two other wine tour companies in the past, Stagecoach and Kurt are fantastic. Kurt made the day with our visits to four very unique wineries. This is the only company we'll use while in the area and only if Kurt is leading the tour.
