Ilana (and team day of) was the absolute BEST DECISION I made for my wedding! My husband and I ran into an issue with our venue cancelling last minute. Finding Ilana to help me sort out the mess and get everything planned in time was a God-send. From the get-go she was super clear, extremely efficient, and always made us feel certain she had every last thing under control. I must say, she single-handedly pulled our dream wedding together in less than 2 months, while also being an absolutely necessary support system to run the behind the scenes of our wedding day. Not only did I absolutely love working with her, but my bridesmaids and family raved about her all wedding weekend. With an event as large and important as a wedding, the stress of the wedding can be so overwhelming. Ilana and her team did such an amazing job with making sure that we didn’t feel the stress at all and were able to enjoy our big day, during the planning and especially day of. Her depth of knowledge from years of industry experience really shone throughout the planning process and really did most of the heavylifting so we didn’t have to. She always followed up with us and was readily available for any questions or doubts I had, no matter how small. When there are hiccups that arise during the process, the immediate reaction is to panic, but I texted Ilana and she immediately responded that she was on it and not to stress at all because everything is fixable. I really felt reassured and the matter indeed did get resolved in no time.

The big day can be so hectic and Ilana and her team were there to make sure everything went seamlessly behind the scenes. We booked full-service wedding planning with Ilana, so she was with us from the very start of the process. As busy working professionals, planning a wedding felt extremely overwhelming, but with Ilana by our side – she made it feel like a breeze. Ilana is everything you want in a wedding planner – she pays high attention to detail, she is easy to communicate with and is very responsive and punctual, she is creative and has an excellent eye for design, she is an excellent leader, and she always has the best attitude and will support your ideas and budget. She has had ample experience working as a wedding planner, and it shows. She made sure all our priorities for the wedding were met, for example, we wanted the best food and an oceanside venue within a more constricted budget and she helped us find an amazing venue and caterer within our budget. As for design, I think this is an area that Ilana truly shines in. My partner and I have not had any experience with designing anything, so I knew we would need a lot of help in this arena. Ilana assisted us with creating a color palette and design board, and really brought it to life beyond my wildest imagination. She had so many unique and creative ideas to formulate a cohesive design/theme to the wedding day – and it worked out beautifully.

Under the full-service wedding planning package, she practically did everything for us - she toured venues with us, gave us excellent recommendations for all vendors, set up all the meetings between us and the vendors/venue, always made sure we were on top of our timeline, and coordinated all the set-up for the wedding itself. Even on the day of the wedding, her team provides full support for the bride – one of her assistants Vanessa was with me all afternoon at the venue assisting me with putting on my dress, photos, carrying my veil and train everywhere. I felt extremely calm and relaxed before the wedding because I had full trust in Ilana and her team to ensure the wedding would proceed smoothly- and it did! Ilana made sure that my husband and I got to experience everything our wedding had to offer – we got to enjoy the entirety of cocktail hour, enjoy all of our dinner meal, and we were the first to enjoy our desserts and late night food (this was very important to us). We absolutely loved working with each and every vendor that Ilana recommended to us, and would definitely rebook them again for any future events. I have no doubt that investing in Ilana and her team saved us lots of tears, stress, sweat, and money in the long-run, so if you find yourself completely overwhelmed with wedding planning, please invest in Ilana Rubin Events to do all the heavy lifting for you! You work closely with your planner during the entire process of planning your wedding so it’s important that you choose wisely, and as soon as possible. I was referred to Ilana through my wedding venue, but I was naturally drawn to her style through the content and images on her website and social media accounts. I was blown away with my initial video call with Ilana, as she went over my budget, vision, design, and provided tips and suggestions all prior to booking her services. Simply put, Ilana is THE best.

Ilana designed my wedding and provided all the photo inspiration to help my vendors complete the look and feel I was hoping to achieve. She is extremely efficient with her time and highly organized. She prioritizes your wedding to-do list in order of importance keeping your wedding on track which sets you up for success. She is an excellent communicator and has a fantastic list of preferred vendors she works with. Ilana helped me book all of my vendors for my wedding – she thoroughly vets their available services ensuring that you have the adequate coverage you need and that they meet your preferred style, all while staying in budget. What I found to be extremely helpful is that Ilana will present 2-4 top vendors that are available and in my budget, then allow me to interview them and get to know them. She did all the research, then set me up to make the final decision which saved me time and eliminated any stress. Ilana has creative ideas and solid suggestions that made her that much more valuable to have on my team, especially when it came to personalizing my wedding with small details that I wanted to incorporate.

My biggest takeaway is that I trusted Ilana – I knew she fully understood what was important to me and my husband, and she knew our vision for the wedding. I fully trusted her recommendations and suggestions to make our day perfect, and she still exceeded all of our expectations.
