I really wanted to have a good experience with Rose, but she ultimately let me down in terms of her communication, professionalism, and collaborative spirit.

Throughout the planning process, she often took 1 to 2 weeks to respond to me, even though our contract stated that communication would be available with a “24 hour response time, usually less.” When Rose did reply to me, she failed to fulfill her biggest responsibilities, like proposal reviews, part of what she offered in her partial planning package.

Based on lack of communication alone, I should’ve terminated my contract with Rose to the Occasions sooner than I did. At the time, however, I wanted to give her business the benefit of the doubt. So, I communicated my concerns to her, expressed how excited I was for my wedding and how I wanted to work as a team to help plan it, and, in doing so, I would need her to reply to my emails.

Even after articulating my concerns, Rose failed in her communication.

But lack of communication wasn’t the only major issue I had with Rose to the Occasions. At one point, Rose told me that she’d instructed the florist to change our floral centerpieces from medium to small, as per my request. A few weeks later, when I noticed that the centerpieces had not been changed in my contract with the florist, the florist informed me that Rose hadn’t contacted her at all.

Eventually, I ended my contract with Rose. Throughout the entire planning process, which I had hoped to be joyous and exciting, I was burdened with the responsibility of trying to get Rose to communicate and perform her responsibilities as outlined in our agreement. I also lost thousands of dollars.

Please take heed if Rose responds to this review as, in my experience with her, she tends to lean into defensiveness and combativeness.

Brides, grooms, and to anyone else planning a special day—the choice is yours.

I cannot express enough gratitude for how smoothly our special wedding day was due to Rose, from Rose to the Occasions. She understood our vision and our budget. From our initial consultation to our last dance at our reception she exceeded our expectations. Rose responded to our questions within a day or two either through email, FaceTime, zoom meeting, or in person. She clearly stated the cost of what she was providing, and the cost for items that may occur that was not included in our Original contract. I.e. cleanup.
On the day of the wedding, everything ran seamlessly, which is a testament to their organizational skills and their selection of knowledgeable vendors. She aligned us with vendors that met our needs and worked with our budget. If you want to laugh and enjoy the wedding planning process Rose is your best choice!

If you are in need of a wedding planner or coordinator Rose is your girl!! Rose made our wedding planning process so easy and she was so on top of everything. She had so many helpful tools to keep us organized and was always there to answer all questions and concerns. Her communication was top tier. Rose and her team were a wonderful asset to ensuring the enjoyment of our wedding! We hired Rose as a month of coordinator for our May 2024 wedding. Once we started working with her the month prior to the wedding a lot of my anxieties regarding how the day was going to go were taken away due to her depth of experience and professionalism. She really took the reins during those last weeks to follow up on final details with our vendors and getting closer to the date I had people asking me if I was stressed out and I can honestly say that I was not as I knew that we were in great hands. The time frame leading up to the wedding I felt my excitement build with each meeting that we had with Rose! The day of the wedding her team of professionals I feel went above and beyond to ensure that everything was to my wishes. They constantly checked in on me during the whole day from when I started getting my makeup done to the last dance, I felt incredibly happy and was truly able to enjoy my wedding day. They made sure everything ran smoothly, that I stayed hydrated, that I ate at cocktail hour and dinner, helped me change into my second dress of the evening and even helped to fix my hair.
