My wife and I loved working with Michael and Rather Travels. We recently booked a trip to Alberta (Banff National Park) in Canada. Michael offered so many recommendations. He handled shopping around for airfare, hotel, transportation and more over what was a very busy 4th of July weekend. He overcame obstacles we set for him and created an amazing itinerary. Greece was a bucket-list vacation for us, and it ended up being everything we hoped for. As I type this, I have three small stones from Kamari beach, Santorini by my side, keeping me connected to such a special place.

Rather Travels played an important role in this: working with Michael made all the difference. In this time of travel sites and do-it-yourself bookings, it's tempting to think you're better off on your own. What's the added value of a travel agent, if I can do this all on my own, right?

Well, when Covid happens and there are multiple (and ever-changing) updates on regulations and requirements for travel, Michael is there with the latest knowledge, links and instructions. Not going to happen on Booking.

Or when you arrive late on a Friday evening and the hotel gives you a room without the promised Caldera view in Santorini, Michael is there to contact is Greek-based counterparts to ensure that we were cared for, and ended up receiving a breathtaking upgrade to compensate for the confusion. Forget it if you booked on Expedia.

Or when you're wondering if you should rent a car in Naxos or Santorini vs taxies, Michael knows what the pros and cons are, down to how many minutes it takes to get to Kamari. Good luck researching that online.

Rather Travels took care of the big things. As you would expect them to do. But, even more importantly, they had the knowledge, the contacts and the care to take care of the little things, whenever that need arises.

Just back from a perfect vacation on the Big Island of Hawaii. It wasn't my first time there and I'd always planned my trips on my own.
