I stopped off in Braemar whilst on a tour. The guide suggested the pub as a good place to have lunch. I booked online in 2 minutes and headed inside

The decor and surroundings are stunning and traditional for Scotland.
The lady that greeted me was warm and welcoming as she took my temperature and pointed me in the direction I needed to head

I was taken to my table in the main bar area of the Flying Stag. Just amazing! Staff are so lovely and they had a chat with customers who appeared a mix of locals and tourists. It's one of those places where you're all treated warmly without snobbery
I also loved that all ages of staff were represented and they all looked like they enjoyed their work which was reflected in how they come across to guests

Service was quick and friendly. The food was gorgeous. I had the scotch egg and small fish and chips (which wasn't really "small") and I was full. I wanted to try dessert but couldn't eat another thing (and I have a good appetite!)

I'd highly recommend and will be returning again one day for sure

Covid measures were implemented very well and they're clearly following guidelines.
