In August 2024, I commissioned Asgeir Bollason, principal of Strandsel Iceland Tours, to conduct a 10-day, private tour combining technical and artistic skills using my Leica and Nikon digital photographic equipment, transportation to and guidance concerning the best photographic shooting sites in Reykjavik and along the southern coast of Iceland, and related meals and lodging. Asgeir is a friendly, caring and knowledgeable host, guide and instructor who delivered fully on all counts. His qualifications include 30 years as a professional wedding photographer using all the necessary equipment and techniques with a native Icelander’s knowledge and love of the territory. He could not have done a better job meeting my needs. I would thoroughly recommend him for a dedicated photographer interested in improving technique and taking advantage of the extraordinary range of photographic opportunities that Iceland offers along with comfortable, enjoyable and appropriately priced transportation, food and accommodations.
