Ess is the absolute best. My wedding planning season was fraught with lots of unexpected changes and she was there as a solid support system. She was flexible with my changes and helped me have a smooth wedding day. She shares in your excitement and it’s extremely encouraging. Very professional, connected to lots of great vendors and super resourceful. Consider her for all your event needs!

Essence and her group are amazing and top-notch at what they do. Their attention to detail is great. As another vendor, they made my life so much easier. Trust me, we work with a TON of planners and she is one of our favorites to work with due to how thorough she and her team is. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

As a professional wedding photographer, I work with a lot of different vendors, event coordinators, and couples. I recently did a wedding with Essence from JoyEss Occasions and let me tell you, it was incredible! She was super organized and had the entire timeline locked in. We started the day a bit behind due to some wedding party complications, but we worked together to get back on track and she was so relaxed and confident about it. My favorite thing about working with Essence is her communication, she provided all of the main vendors with headsets and radios so we could communicate with each other even across the venue. That was huge and made everything so much better! Take it from a photographer's point of view, you want a coordinator who will have your back and care about you, the couple. Essence is your gal. Just do it!

My best friend recently got married and Ess was amazing! She was so organized and she was ready to deal with any and everything! She made sure to communicate with us every step of the way. She asked important questions to make sure everything ran smoothly. The best part about her was, her jumping in and taking candid photos of us on the dance floor and even dancing with us! In the midst of all that, staying professional and on top of things, like a boss! We adored her energy and charisma and couldn’t recommend her more! If you are looking for a personable, ride or die coordinator, Ess is your girl! Book her! You won’t regret it.

Essence is truly worth her weight in gold as a coordinator, florist and general wedding hero. She is joyful, positive and validating. Our only regret is not hiring her sooner because from the moment we did she got us back on track from what had been a really draining and emotional planning process filled with budget overages. On our day, she was organized and kept things moving in a loving way. We got so many comments from our guests on her excellent event management! As a florist, she made incredible creations on our tight budget and gave us our boho Big Sur dream. She is creative and happy to help you do things that are out of the box to better reflect you. Trevor and I couldn’t have asked for a better wedding BFF.

Ess was our day of coordinator back in January. And it is without a doubt that I would recommend her to every bride. She goes above and beyond to support you and to make sure that all your needs are met. She will check in with you every step of the way. Before, during and even after the wedding.
