This agency apparently knows nothing about compliance in the State of Colorado as they posted a Reservations Manager and did not include the pay rate. Per the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act it requites employers to post pay rates in job listings. Reading and researching this compnay it appears to be a huge scam. Stay away!!

I have utilized Classic Vacations numerous times and I am continuously blown away by their customer service, support for the travel industry, and overall product offerings. This is a company that has the traveler experience at the heart of their business.

I used a travel agent that works with Classic Vacations - we stayed at Secrets Playa Blanca in Cancun- not happy. This resort should but have been open yet- our water was brown- pools were suppose to be heated - they weren’t. We didn’t get into our swim up room pool but one time and that was for about 3 minutes- as long as we could stand because it was cold- other pools not heated as advertised- hot tub was broken over half the time we were there- beach club was not Finished as advertised- only 3 restaurants and one more opened half way thru our stay but not near as many as they said would be open- alot of issues for paying full price! I have asked Classic Vacations for help with my issues and getting some reimbursement- they are stalling and not helping much in my opinion. I’ve been back from my vaca since Feb 10- it’s now Feb 26th and still no resolution- very upset! This was what our water looked like and it stunk - they never did do anything about this.

I had a poor experience, maybe due to the travel agent I used (not associated with classic) but used classic to book room blocks.

Classic was able to make things right with us based on our contracts agreements afterwards & service they provided afterwards when I reached out to them directly was prompt & helpful.

My wife and I decided to give Mary Pat Caskey of Classic Vacations a chance to plan the Honeymoon of our dreams, which she quickly turned into a nightmare. While planning the details of the vacation with Mary Pat, I literally find the options she’s discussing with me over the phone for cheaper on the resorts website. She demands I send her photos of the costs I found in about 3 minutes of research, so that she can price match. (If that seems ridiculous to you, that’s because is absolutely is) Nevertheless, we feel obligated to move forward with Mary Pat, thinking at the very least, we have a vacation planning company to fall back on should anything go awry. Little did we know, there is literally no help available and all they can do is further create confusion and add a layer of unnecessary complexity to a vacation.

Upon our arrival in Mexico at the airport, we head straight to our transfer desk only to discover our transfer was booked mistakenly for two days prior and we would be listed as “no-shows”. They tell us it’s our fault and there is no accommodations that can be made. We are now stuck at the Cancun Airport with no cell service and no transfer to our island resort. We finally hail a cab and they force us to pay the full transfer rate of $180 which we regrettably accept as we have no other choice and they knew it. Our driver kindly provides us a hotspot to communicate with Mary Pat and she assures us we can still head to the sister resort and catch the catamaran transfer. Upset I tell her we should not be responsible for the first day at the resort since at this point we wouldn’t arrive until after all the amenities are closed. She interrupts telling us, “This is already being taken care of. Do not worry”. Also, “I will personally refund you for the cab ride out of my pocket”. A little foreshadowing, neither happened… it was a lie and now she claims she never made these promises, calling my wife and I both liars.

Once we arrive at the sister resort, we find the catamaran transfer had engine problems and that we could wait in the lobby for a speed boat that would take us to the resort. We wait for over 3 hours and wind up taking a speed boat through the pitch black night. A far cry from the paid for catamaran ride with complimentary handmade cocktails and sunset experience.

Further, while checking into the resort, I recall a recommendation by previous reviews to go ahead and book your golf carts to tour the island. We go to do so, only to find out Classic Vacations is promoting an amenity this resort no longer offers. WE are told not to worry again and that this too would be taken care of… so we spring for a week rental, as this was a huge part of the trip for us to tour the island resort we just paid over 10k to visit. Post Honeymoon, Mary Pat now says this was yet another misunderstanding and that we had to take it up with the resort. (Can someone please tell me exactly what a travel agent does again?!) We have an email correspondence from her stating that the golf carts were complimentary even though she’s claiming she never said that.

Our honeymoon turned into a disaster as a direct result of Mary Pat Caskey of Classic Vacations. If you’re considering using this service, do yourself a favor and either find a better agent or better yet, book it yourself. I could have booked this myself in 15 minutes and had none of the issues we experienced over the course of the week.

We had other concerns with the resort but this is not for them. Mostly just false advertisement as a result of this fraudulent travel agency.

If I could leave less stars than one I would.

In conclusion, Classic Vacations and more specifically, Mary Pat Caskey lied to us, manipulated their offerings and in essence stole from their clients with fraudulent and empty promises. If you are considering using a travel agent, first; slap yourself like I should have. Second; ask yourself what other ancient/dying professions have you used lately?

Going through Classic Vacations to book our honeymoon was the biggest mistake we did. Our honeymoon was ruined .. the agency did not do their homework ( awful waters, false marketing, nothing like they said our trip would be like) .. we spent way too much and ended up with a bad vacation. When it was all said and done and we complained they wanted to give us a $250 credit towards our next trip booked through them!!! Like that will ever happen.. NO Thank you! We spent over 8K.. $250 will not make up for it.

My wife and I booked a Los Cabo vacation with Classic vacations with Frosch Travel in June 2016 and bought the Prestige Travel Insurance Plan. Unfortunately, my wife's illness worsened and we had to cancel in September 2016. For 4 months I have been trying to have the Frosch to agency or Classic vacations refund my deposit! Only after seeking legal counsel and calling Classic Vacations myself, did I discover that the air fare is not refundable. (of which I was not aware) So my advice is take great care when booking a vacation insurance through either of these agencies!!

they were able to get it more than $1000 less than I could on my own. My travel agent made sure everything was good before we left and was very helpful. I almost felt like a VIP in Hawaii bc of the reputation they have there. Thanks for making our honeymoon great.
