Zach and Jenna are good humans and amazing coaches. Our group ranged in age from 19 to 74. Everyone was up and surfing within minutes. The boat is beautiful and the equipment is all very nice quality. I’m so glad to have found Wake Almanor. I hope to cross paths with these two in the future and look forward to more surfing.

I have so much to say, and no idea where to start. First, hanging out with Zack and Jenna at Wake Almanor is by far the best! We got to spend an entire weekend learning how to Wake Surf, and it was so much fun! When I say entire weekend learning how, that’s not entirely accurate. With Zack’s help, I popped up the first time trying and was immediately hooked. The rest of the weekend was spent having the time of our lives. I had some reservations before our trip about taking our two kids on this gorgeous boat, and wondered how long they’d last. My fears were completely unnecessary. They’ve been begging to go back ever since and we’re currently trying to figure out when we can make it back up to Almanor for our summer break. Now on to Jenna and Zack. These two are the perfect pair, and watching them work alongside eachother as husband and wife is beautiful to witness. They’ve perfected their craft, and are incredible professionals, and know how to have a good time while keeping everyone safe, happy, and having a blast. August 2024 - Back again!
The Park Fire messed up our plans for Wake Almanor on Lake Almanor, but Wake Almanor on Lake Tahoe was just as wonderful for a last minute audible! Zack and Jenna were amazing as always! Even with a pretty severe foot injury, I was able to surf a little bit! Our son got to surf with Captain Zack, too! Wake Almanor is the best, and our daughter made the astute observation that Captain Zack is the King of Fun ? Can’t wait for the next time!!! ☀️‍♂️❤️?

Cannot say enough about how great this excursion is - Zack and Jenna are superb hosts and instructors. Fun, great instructors, and most encouraging! This really was the best time on the water, and we do lots of water excursions!
Sept 2nd - another outstanding outing with Wake Almanor. Zack was terrific talking our 10 year old granddaughter through the “yips” and getting out in the water and giving it a try. She’s never skied and was terrific and absolutely loved it. Just being on his amazing boat is a treat and he makes it super fun! Cannot wait for the next outing!

We had the most incredible experience at Wake Almanor! Our family has been enjoying numerous surf sessions with the exceptional coach, Zach. As a beginner, I was amazed at how quickly Zach had me up and riding the waves, without a rope even, building my confidence on the lake. His patience and expertise as a coach are truly top-notch. Even the kids had a blast and felt completely at ease under his guidance.

Not only does Zach possess great coaching skills, but the boat he provides is exquisite. It ensures a smooth and exhilarating ride, adding to the overall experience. From the moment we stepped on board, we knew we were in for a treat.

Zach's knowledge about surfing is impressive, and he creates an atmosphere that makes you never want to leave the lake. He even pulled out the tube and gave us an unforgettable ride! We look forward to lake days and bringing our friends along for the fun. The combination of his coaching abilities, boat, and the fun-filled atmosphere made our time at Wake Almanor truly unforgettable. We can't wait to go back for more! Best day I’ve had on the lake. Captain Zack was an incredible teacher. Super patient, knowledgeable, and hilarious. Took my wife and 2 boys (6&9) and everyone was able to get up and surf in no time. My kids still talk about this all the time and we will definitely be back. Worth every penny.

We had THE best time with Captain Zach! Great experience from beginning to end.
Zach was prompt and so helpful when booking. We had one newbie and one experienced surfer and he accommodated both with his amazing selection of boards and gear on board.
Personal coaching was so helpful and patient, he just made it fun!
The boat is stunning! And he even had playlists for all our family preferences with a killer sound system.
Wake surfing vs wake boarding is so different and FUN!

Zack and Jenna took us out on their beautiful boat to watch the fireworks on the 4th! They picked us up and dropped back off at Rec 1 in the LACC. It was so nice to not have to worry about doing this process on our own and being able to relax! They had some lights and a mini disco ball which made it feel like a party! I definitely recommend them!
