Sally from the Valley is a GREAT tour guide. This was my first "food tour" but we have done other kinds of tours. There is such a difference between the corporate-chain-tours and the smaller, family-owned tours like this one. Sally was a middle school teacher for years (obviously a talented one) and she taught us all about Los Angeles (art, architecture, history) AND the local food scene. The food was FABULOUS. Each place we went to was a small business. We learned about the people behind the businesses (fascinating) and how the business fits into the LA food scene. It was thoroughly enjoyable. I can't recommend Sally or her company enough. I also can't wait until our next tour (there are 6 in different areas of LA) and I intend on doing ALL of them. Sorry there are no photos of the food for this food tour review. When were eating, everything was so delicious and unique that I forgot to take photos, so I only have photos from walking around!?‍♀️

Six Taste is LA’s only family-owned food tour. Sally is an incredible guide, full of knowledge and a passion for her city. Unlike some other tours we’ve done, you get full portions! You will leave satisfied and well fed! I highly recommend this tour!

Our company holds an annual team department gathering, and each year we strive for a new and exciting experience. This year, however, was exceptional from the very beginning. We had the pleasure of participating in the Six Taste Food Tours of Santa Monica, and it was absolutely amazing.

Our host, Sally, guided us through an extraordinary journey. We began at Ye Olde King’s Head, where we savored a delicious appetizer of veggie curry pie. Next, we enjoyed handmade noodles and chicken dumplings at Dan Modern. Sally then led us on an informative excursion around several blocks of Santa Monica, sharing fascinating historical insights and tales of the haunted hotel.

Our tour continued at Curious Palate, located in the newly renovated Santa Monica Mall. Tucked away on the top floor, it provided the perfect private setting to relish homemade bread, buttery Baja fried shrimp, and hand-cut fries with their famous house-made ketchup.

To top off the experience, we indulged in McConnell’s Fine Ice Cream, where I tried their renowned Eureka Lemon & Marionberries flavor. It was a delightful treat.

Sally’s extensive knowledge of Santa Monica’s history and her willingness to share captivating stories made this one of the best company gatherings I have ever attended. The delightful autumn day, with its pleasantly warm temperatures, enhanced the charm of our walking tour through the heart of Santa Monica. It was an absolute pleasure!

The Thai Town food tour had an amazing selection of restaurants!
Though I go to Thai restaurants often, Sally picked out a lot of unique gems that people don't usually know about nor order and this introduced me to a lot of new dishes that I will definitely be trying again.
On top of the food, Sally's guide on the history of this area and the restaurants we visited made for a very fun tour.

Last night the Akerman Los Angeles Labor and Employment Team had an amazing experience! We ate great food, discovered hidden historical treasures of downtown L.A., and most importantly, shared wonderful time together outside the office on a beautiful SoCal evening. The pasta, tacos and donuts were all delicious! But don’t ever sleep on the pupusa!!

Our guide - Sally from the Valley - was our fearless leader. She selected the perfect, local spots to visit and provided a great history lesson along the way. She also takes great photos!

I highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a fun thing to do in downtown Los Angeles.

Our tour in the Arts District of LA was informative, lively, and charming with outstanding food from the best spots. My girlfriends and I took the fun, compact walk with tour guide, Sally, of Six Taste. My husband and I have taken many food tours abroad and she was the best for incorporating great food, history, and culture.

A really fun and informative tour of the Arts District in LA. It’s great to learn the history of buildings we absently drive by every day. Sally was a fantastic host, and the food was excellent. Highly recommend!
