Small foundation/museum for rehabbing birds of prey. It also has a lot of taxidermied native animals of the area, which was pretty interesting to see. There weren't that many birds that were there (about 5 or 6 I think?), which was both disappointing, but also really great (since we prefer the birds to be in the wild, not rehabilitated). Overall, if you're spending some time in Haines, would really recommend spending some time here.

MUST VISIT!
Newest addition, Ahsoka, the Siberian Eagle Owl!

It is a wonderful reserve that we were trapped inside for hours!
3 bold eagles, two owls and one falcon!
Abundant displays with informatives. Learned a lot and will definitely return!

A very nice reserve for raptors and bald eagles, specifically. There are 2 areas for this visit, one is the specimen of Alaska animals, and the other is the reservation for the raptors and bald eagles.

This is my first time seeing the real eagle in life. Worth a visit as the town does not have many attractions

We enjoyed what we did get to see at this Foundation. One of the keepers did feed two of the birds and that was fun to watch. They have several (like more than 5) exhibits that have no birds in them. It was disappointing to pay and not see more birds.

Awesome place with very informative staff. The feeding demonstration was amazing and we stayed for about 1 hour. The only downfall was that there was no change table available within the facility and kind of a bummer when travelling with an infant.

The 3 eagles, 1 hawk and 2 owls were beautiful. The dead stuffed animals were sad to see. But most of all they charged 25.00 a person. The web page said self guided tours were 15.00 a person. We expected the 25.00 deal that the web page stated included more than the self guided tour. So we went back to get our 10.00 per person back as we felt that we should have only paid the 15.00 fee. We were told that the web page was not updated as they were short staffed. I stated that that is not my problem and to only see what we saw at 25.00 a person was not right. I had to speak with a manager to get a refund back. And they continued to charge people 25.00 each. Shame on them to not stick to their web page and rip people off. If they do update their page it is not worth 25.00 a person to do a self guided tour.
