Barb, Madi, and the entire staff at the Peninsula Room were amazing. They were quick to respond to any questions during the process (we had a lot!) and helped us plan / execute a truly flawless wedding day. The venue is absolutely incredible - from the ceremony space on the great lawn with the stunning view of the water to the reception space with indoor / outdoor areas for guests to enjoy the evening. The food and drinks were honestly incredible, our guests still talk about how fantastic they were. Our chosen alcohol tier allowed us to design 2 signature drinks, we chose a classic margarita and a lavender mojito (maybe the best drink I've ever had!). The passed appetizers we chose were a huge hit with our guests. The servers were excellent, circulating throughout the cocktail hour area to ensure everyone was offered apps. During dinner, service was impeccable and everyone enjoyed their food (the whitefish was the hit of the evening!). I can't say enough great things about the Peninsula Room and it was the perfect backdrop to our day! An added bonus is that we can go back on our anniversary to celebrate with a delicious meal at the Jolly Pumpkin!

Dream come true Northern Michigan Wedding Venue! We had the special opportunity to hold our Ghanaian traditional ceremony at Mission Table on a Saturday afternoon and hold our traditional US wedding ceremony at The Peninsula Room on a Sunday afternoon/evening. Both events were above and beyond what we could have hoped for. Barb, Madi, and the entire team are incredible and I loved working with them - thank you!

For our Ghanaian Traditional Ceremony (also somewhat a rehearsal lunch), we held it within Mission Table and took photos outside with family on Genevieve’s Patio. The most incredible part of this entire event was that Barb and the Chef worked with my husband to accommodate a traditional Ghanaian meal including - rice, chicken and beef kabobs, meat pies, and fried plantains. When we first asked if it was a possibility they were excited by the idea and said they were “up for the challenge”. Our Ghanaian guests were incredibly impressed by the food and how well the team was able to mirror the recipes while still bringing their own touch. I honestly still can’t believe we found a venue who could make this happen for us.

For our Peninsula Room Ceremony, we got married on The Great Lawn, had cocktail hour on the back patio, and of course the reception in the Peninsula Room. The entire day was a dream. Getting married on The Great Lawn was the most beautiful backdrop for our big day! Madi and Barb were very helpful prior to the wedding and on the day of. They answered my questions and provided advice when needed. I went into the weekend feeling so at ease because I knew everything was buttoned up and taken care of. Of course, the food was amazing at both the cocktail hour and reception. My husband and I raved about the food to our guests following our tasting and it lived up to the hype. Another key note is they are very accommodating of people’s allergies and food restrictions which put myself (I have a few allergies) and my guests with restrictions at ease.

I wish I could go back and relive this day forever. Thank you Peninsula Room team for giving us the best day and memories we’ll cherish for a lifetime.

Looking back on everything that went into planning a wedding, I can confidently say that choosing The Peninsula Room as our venue was the single best first choice we could have made. It was the bedrock of our wedding day in more ways than one. First off, the package makes is so incredibly easy for people who do not have a planner or coordinator. All of the headache surrounding table / chair / linen / glassware rentals? Non-existent because that's included. Finding a caterer and orchestrating food? Cross that off your to-do list because (1) Mission Table is on-site, and (2) you will NOT find better food than what they're serving. The only issue - and I mean this literally - is how do you figure out where to have your rehearsal dinner so that the food doesn't suck in comparison to the food at your wedding. Have a special vision for your bar service? It could not be any easier. They can do signature mocktails, signature cocktails, a coffee bar... You imagine it? They can pretty much make it happen. And as if that weren't enough, they do it all with a smile. Every single person that my wedding party interacted with, that a guest interacted with, that I interacted with, made it feel like this was the most important day in their life - not just mine. Oh and did I mention the space itself? Forget the need for extravagant décor or floral rentals. The ceremony space is under the pines, overlooking the bay. You could literally do nothing to it and it would be out of a fairytale. Only a few steps away is the reception area - which was practically perfect in every way. Whether your guest list is 60 people (like mine) or 150 people, the space feels welcoming and lively. I cannot thank Madi and Barb enough for all that they did for us - we could have paid three times as much and gotten a venue that wasn't even half as good. It would be a mistake not to at least consider The Peninsula Room. Do yourself a favor, schedule a tour, don't regret it.

We recently got married here in October on a Sunday, it was a fantastic experience! The day was windy, dry, and raining leaves. The venue was beautiful, with warm touches in each corner. The staff was accommodating and kind. We decided to omit a wedding planner entirely, although Barb and Madi were incredibly helpful with ensuring we were on the same page with every detail. They worked well with each of our vendors and guests. Also, the food was impeccable! We would highly recommend this venue.

We just had our wedding here on a Friday! It was ABSOLUTELY stunning! There is nothing like it. The character of the venue is something you can’t find anywhere else. A great for venue for photos as well. They have beach access for gorgeous sunsets and water views.

The staff was wondering. So easy to work with. Food was unreal. Our guests couldn’t stop talking about it. The drinks were so refreshing. They have everything you need and more.

I will recommend this venue to anyone!

Peninsula Room is the best! As a vendor, it is one of my favorite weddings to work at not only because of the beautiful location and great food, but because the staff is incredible. Madi, Barb, and the rest of the team always make the planning process and wedding day effortless- it is evident they truly care about every event that they host. I highly recommend choosing Peninsula Room for your Northern Michigan wedding!

Great deck and scenery. Friendly staff. Nice food menu. The fried lake perch are just what you expect: delicious. Plus delicious truffle fries. Nice brews. Lots of seating options, deck, yard, bar, restaurant, etc.

We cannot say enough wonderful things about the Peninsula Room as a wedding venue. We loved the look of the ceremony space with the trees and the water; however, it was the staff and experience itself that had us in awe on the day of the event. Everyone was so friendly and committed to ensuring we and our guests had an incredible celebration. Our venue coordinator Madi was very responsive and answered all of our concerns, and she was present on the day ensuring things ran smoothly. The food was exceptional. Many of our friends and family have told us that it was the best food they have ever had at a wedding. The space itself is so perfect for transitioning from the outdoor ceremony to cocktail hour and then reception. The cocktail hour space is really fun, and we loved that our guests could wander in and out of the reception space with the band to sit outside and enjoy the northern Michigan summer evening.
