Hello. This review is primarily to counter the previous review left by a Tyler Lanz. That individual is a known affiliate of a Brian Vowell, owner of Tahoe Air LLC and Carson Aviation Adventures LLC located in Silver Springs NV. I am very familiar with your operation and its calibre and professionalism, and can personally vouch on behalf of your customer base for the 5 star rating that you so well deserve. I don’t consider myself much of a competitor, since if I tried to land my airplanes on riverbeds and sandbars in the Idaho backcountry then I’d probably be hitching a ride back in a pickup truck, but even if I was a “competitor”, I appreciate your skill set and business ethic. James Air does not tolerate the act of putting someone up to writing bad reviews on competitors’ pages, and it is my belief that that is exactly what happened here, which is why you’ve never heard of Mr Tyler Lanz. I believe he is actually one of Brian Vowell’s minions. Mr Vowell himself is currently under FAA investigation for multiple FAR violations and under civil lawsuit for breach of contract and aircraft theft and failing to perform as acting in the capacity as an owner financier in an aircraft purchase agreement which I made the mistake of engaging in. He has already more or less been banned from operating in Reno-Tahoe and Carson City airports for repeated bad business dealings with its tenants, and is currently causing nothing but trouble over at Silver Springs. He’s already been blacklisted from at least a dozen other airports in California that I know of as a result of his fraudulent behaviors. Just read his Yelp reviews and look at how he responded to his customer complaints before he lost his 141 certificate. (He still advertises as a 141 school illegally even though he isn’t even a CFI and can’t get anyone to work for him. This is in addition to doing illegal maintenance and illegal charters in a PA46 Malibu that he screwed a friend and his wife out of a house just to buy a fractional ownership stake in.) James Air is watching everything going on in this aviation community, and we especially have our eye on Brian Vowell and anyone who supports him. And we also applaud anyone here doing good business.
