Excellent private tour of Portland in a comfortable van. Our tour guide sent us the itinerary ahead of time and was also open to our suggestions. He was able to answer all of our questions.

So, taking a tour with Terran Travels to the Oregon coast in Spring, when there's a 100% chance of rain, snow, and even hail - it probably doesn't sound like your idea of a good time. But here's why it SHOULD be:

1. No crowds. It's nice to just pull up to parking areas and viewing points without fighting for space or waiting your turn. And with the dramatic views and dark skies, you WILL appreciate being able to just walk around, grab photos, and basically have the coast and the forests all to yourself.

2. Great views. The rain is honestly not that bad, and more of a drizzle than anything else, so it's easy to move around in. Even if it is heavier for a little while, that passes quickly, and the rest of the time it's perfectly fine (even surprisingly pleasant) weather. The atmosphere is fantastic, and the scenery is stunning. Also, we saw tons of robins and even a herd of elk, which was a real delight.

3. Awesome guide(s). Our group had Halle take us around, and she was really fantastic - super knowledgeable about both the region in general, as well as nature in specific. It's always nice to be introduced to something by someone passionate about it, and she was exactly that. Plus, she was really attentive to everyone in the group, making sure we all had a great time and had our questions answered.

After our tour, my partner and I were chatting about it and we both agreed it was NOT something we could've done by ourselves (the exhaustion of driving the whole day alone would've wiped us out, and left us more or less unable to appreciate anything), and we were both immensely glad to have been able to go on it. If you're new to the area or just want a stress-free introduction to the Oregon coast, definitely book with them!

I took the trip to falls and mount hood and another one to the coastline through 3 capes. Sam was our guide extremely professional polite and very informative. He takes cares of everything in a very proffesional way. I was accompanied by my parents and he took care of their needs too. In all terran travels does a great Job and I must say always recommend Sam to be the guide . He is the best . Highly recommend the company and the guide. Super amazing time.

We had a wonderful trip to visit the waterfalls with Terran Travels. Marcus did an excellent job of leading the trip and providing detailed information on the area and local facts. Very professional and fun for our family - we highly recommend it!

We did the Mt. Hood Wine and Waterfall Tour with Marcus and it was incredible. I would highly recommend this tour. All the stops along the way were fun, scenic, and perfectly spaced out to make the full day trip fly by.

We booked a Willamette valley wine tour with Terran after having some trouble confirming with another company. Marcus was very responsive from the get-go. Britney picked us up on time and with the friendliest demeanor. There were only 4 of us on the tour but we had a fabulous time. Britney kept everything moving along and added a really awesome vibe. Such a great day. Thank you!!

I booked Terran's 'Explore Columbia River Gorge Half-Day Small-Group Hiking Tour' for Sunday morning 12 March - what a perfect choice. Marcus was professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and timed our visits and stops perfectly. We stopped at spectacular sites, and when part of one trail was closed, he quickly came up with a most acceptable alternative. The hikes were all very manageable for me (a 70-year-old traveller), he was considerate of guest comfort at all times, and his vehicle was ideal for the job. I can't think of a better way to spend a Sunday morning if you're in Portland on a weekend.
