I rented a bike from Epic Croatia / Biking Croatia for a week. It was a Cube ebike. The booking process was very easy - simply fill in an online form. The guys at Epic Croatia were responsive, friendly, great English and provided a top quality service. The bike was fab - a lot of fun to ride and very helpful with some of the more aggressive hills. The Biking Croatia team provided everything you could possibly need - water bottle, lights, helmet, spare inner tube, pump, pannier etc. Two other friends rented bikes this week and had similarly great experiences. I’m so pleased that I’ll be getting back in the saddle when I get back to the UK! Thank you!

Kayaking and biking: A perfect way to use the day.

While the wife and kids wanted a day off, just being at the pool, I opted for the Kayak and Bike tour from Lopud Island to Sipan Island.

We met with the guide (Ivica Buric) at Gruž Port, Travelers Corner, in the morning where we took the boat to Lopud Island. The guide was very friendly, funny, and informative all the way, and he was able to be there for all seven of us all the way.

At Lopud we got introduced to the kayaks, kayaking techniques and packed our stuff for the rest of our trip. I only brought water (1½ liter), sun protection, a hat, wallet, mobile and light shoes for the bike ride later. I left the extra set of clothes and towel at Outdoor Croatia’s premises at Lopud Island.

The kayaking to Sipan was around 4 kilometers in completely still water and I was lucky to get a solo kayak, which I enjoyed very much. But I must admit that at arriving at Sipan I could feel my back and shoulders. Apparently not muscle groups I’m used to use at the office

During the kayak trip Ivica was very alert and gave good advice on technique – but not forgetting to tell jokes or stories about the area. Just great!

At Sipan we arrived at the small city of Suđurađ, where we just placed the kayaks at the small idyllic fishing harbor and change to mountain bikes. Then we drove 5 kilometers across the island to the city of Šipanska Luka. We stopped a couple of times, because Ivica wanted to explain and show some of the historical sites we passed, which was very interesting.

A very beautiful ride with small hills to ascend and descend. But nothing that requires MTB-skills or extreme fitness to conquer. Being a mountain biker myself I must admit, I missed a bit of dirt tracks and a more technical route. But not so important that it spoiled the experience.

At Šipanska Luka we sat down at the local restaurant and got a really really good meal. I would recommend the fresh fish, but also the local grown vegetables in the salads were amazing.

Being full and happy we headed for the local and beautiful beach to cool down. Ivica had brought gear to everyone who wanted to do some snorkeling.

Then we headed back across the island on bikes, changed into the kayaks and headed back to Lopud Island where we cleaned the kayaks and changed clothes before we entered the ferry back to Dubrovnik.

I must admit I was tired in the whole body after a day of exercise using the muscles I normally don’t use. But it was in a good way.

This was the perfect day trip for me. If you like the sea, kayaking, biking, and exploring the islands with a good guide and local food, I can highly recommend this tour.

I did the Sea Kayaking and Caving tour with a friend and absolutely loved it!! We saw some amazing caves, went cliff jumping and had an amazing seafood lunch. Our guide, Sven, was wonderfully informative, funny, spoke great English and addressed any concerns we had promptly and completely! The rental gear was in great condition and we were instructed how to use it properly before setting out on the water. It was just enough paddling that I was tired at the end of the day but not enough that I felt I couldn't keep up. I think thin anyone could do this tour and have a great time even if you've never been in a kayak before!

My wife and did a day long kayak tour (Arches, Caves, and Islands), and we agreed that it was one of the best travel experiences that we've every had. Our guide was really friendly and helpful. The route was great. It wasn't too strenuous either for kayak newbies like us. Highly recommended!

What an amazing experience, the most friendliest of people and made the full experience fun! I was extremely nervous about this to begin with but it ended up being my favourite adventure of the holiday. Worth every penny. Not only did i get to see how beautiful Croatia is but the man gave us so much information about the island which fascinated me and my family. Thank you so much for making our holiday!

Amazing day on the ocean! Signed up for the Arches, Caves and Islands kayak tour. Guide was very informative, funny and totally made us feel confident enough to not only dive into a cave but also cliff dive into the crystal clear Adriatic Sea! Make sure you bring sunscreen, water and enough cash for lunch at a local restaurant on one of the islands.

We had the most fantastic 25 km bike ride with Vedran. The route was beautiful and we thoroughly enjoyed seeing more of Croatia. Vedran was extremely friendly, engaging and knowledgable and it was a great to hear more about Croatian history which was a real bonus. The traditional meal was delightful, we would highly recommend this tour. Thanks Vedran!

Vedran is an excellent guide. He has extensive local knowledge and can adapt when needed if nature intervenes (eg bridges swept away in a flash flood) on the route. He is kind and considerate too, and understands if you are finding the day hard. Highly recommended.
