I have been going to Melissa for 6 years now. My first experience with her was when we went for a newborn photo shoot. She was so amazing and patient with my baby. He was more awake than usual during the pictures. Melissa still made sure to capture all of the poses that I had hoped for. I knew from that moment that she was going to be my go to for all future photos of my children. She has since captured all of my kids milestones and several Christmas pictures that I am proud to put on my cards. My children aren't easy to work with and she is so good with them. I highly recommend going to Melissa for all of your family photos. She is the best at what she does!

We had a terrible experience with Melissa during a photoshoot for my pregnant wife. We arrived for the session, had our photos taken, and were assured that we could select any six photos we wanted, which would then be edited. However, when the photos were delivered, one of them was of such poor quality that it was unusable.

Melissa blamed the issue on the camera instead of taking responsibility for her mistake and informed us there was nothing she could do to restore the photo to the promised quality. Her proposed solution was to offer a new photoshoot just three days before my wife’s due date, which was not feasible due to complications with the pregnancy.

Melissa then stated she would only refund the cost of one photo, failing to recognize that what she has cost us is priceless. We are currently pursuing legal action against Melissa Hartigan Photography, and I strongly recommend that others look elsewhere for a photographer.

I would recommend Melissa for any of your baby/family photo needs! I reached out to her at the 2 month mark after regretting not having newborn photos done sooner and I’m so glad I found her! She didn’t hesitate to get us in the studio asap (I had also reached out to a few other local vendors in my search and one declined this session since my baby was out of the typical age for newborn photos- their loss and my gain for sure!) The images are beautiful despite my 2 month old being more difficult to pose and move around than a typical “newborn”. Melissa was very calming and assured me we would get great photos no matter what! And the studio is so relaxing, you will want to stay :). I will surely reach out to MHG for my future needs!
