We had a wonderful and memorable experience with Boomerang Riding! Myself and my two kids rode on the sunset ride in the Arizona desert. Even though there was a heat wave (high of 110F that day), it wasn't horribly hot during sunset. Kelsey was our guide and she was an excellent guide giving good details and helping teach us how to guide the horses.

My two kids (7 and 8) had their first horse ride trip here and highly recommend. It'll be memories they never forget! The kids are well behaved and did well to follow instructions. Although, sometimes the horses wanted to snack and the kids had a hard time getting the horses to listen. The guides helped step in to keep the horses on track.

Overall it was a really unique experience riding horses in the Arizona desert. We felt like cowboys and the price was was very reasonable!

NOTE: It's a little bit hard to navigate here. Follow the website/email instructions carefully to find them.

Amazing experience on this ride!!! Kelsey was an outstanding guide, putting everyone at ease and keeping it fun the entire trip. Love that they have a full stable of horses that allows them to provide the best possible fit for each rider. We are really blessed to have this wonderful riding opportunity on such spectacular terrain.

We had the best time on the sunset ride. My 7 year old son was really nervous but everyone put him to ease and he was enjoying it right from the start. It was a beautiful evening! Mark was a lovely guide. Great for kids, beginners and anyone looking for a relaxing way to enjoy the desert scenery.

Wow, what a ride!!!! So beautiful. I would definitely request Mark the Australian cowboy! He dismounts any horse like John Wayne on a cattle drive. We did the 1.5-hour ride with kids. If you're gonna bring kids on a long ride, they must be well fed, well rested and tough as nails. Luckily, my kids met the "Mark". Otherwise, I'd suggest the shorter ride. Vail AZ and colossal mountain park are an AZ secret. Picturesque panoramic views!! Nows the time to book a ride!!

Kelsey was a phenomenal guide, very knowledgeable about the area and horses. She kept the horses on trail and in line. The horses were well trained and the trail was smooth. The views were very desert landscape with a variety of cacti.

We had an absolute great time here! Jamie and Mark were great to work with. Mark was a great tour guide, making sure often that we were following him well and giving information along the way on our ride. My kids (8, 10, 13, and 15) all loved it, which is a rarity these days! The horses were perfectly behaved and the scenery was awesome! The stables are also close to Colossal Cave, so you could hit up two neat experiences in one day. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a fun experience while in AZ.

This was amazing! I went with my mom who hadn’t ridden in 20+ years. We reached out the evening before and Jaime was very prompt in reaching out to us. We set up a time for the following day.

When we arrived, Jaime and Mark (her husband, who ended up being our guide) were getting the horses ready. They were incredibly friendly. We told them our riding level (novice!) and Mark picked out two suitable horses for us — Tuff and Remington. Tuff had a brand on him and they explained that he was a wild mustang that Mark had gotten from the BLM, trained and then gone to auction after they trained him (it’s part of the program). They purchased him. It was really cool learning about this!

Then, we got ready to ride. We opted to wear helmets — but if you don’t want to then you simply need to sign a release. I was given a bag to hold my water bottle and phone on the ride. We used a block to get on the horses, made sure our feet felt good in the stirrups, and we’re given an orientation to riding and on how to correct the horses if they tried to stop and eat grass. Then, we got on the trail.

The trail was beautiful. We rode single file with Mark leading, my mom in the middle, and then me. What I enjoyed was the varied conditions we rode in. We rode in the outwash, up hill sides and by saguaro cacti. I was surprised how lush the area was.

It was clear the horses were well trained. Outside of trying to eat grass once or twice, they were incredibly well behaved — even when a diamond back rattle snake was in the trail and stood up. It was incredible watching Mark’s ability with his horse during this situation and neither my mom nor me ever felt nervous.

Throughout the ride, Mark gave us information about the area and his interesting life around horses.

I’d highly recommend this experience whether or not you have a lot of experience riding. We signed up for the 1.5 hour ride but my mom was ready to be done earlier because riding can be painful on your legs. Mark was more than accommodating.

I hope to do this again if I come back to
The Tucson area!
