Cindy is a truly fantastic wedding planner! She was a life-saver from our first meeting with her all the way through our perfect wedding day. She went above and beyond to make sure I felt good about the wedding and how everything would look. Since our wedding was in our backyard, we rented a tent, dozens of tables, 150 chairs, and more. When all of that arrived, I suddenly couldn't picture how we'd seat everyone and make it all fit! I called Cindy in a full-on panic. When she sensed how anxious I was feeling, she immediately drove the 1-hour trip to our house to take a look. She arrived swiftly and ended up staying for hours, going over last minute logistics and in general soothing everyone's nerves. We all agree that Cindy making that emergency trip pulled the whole wedding together! The day of the wedding, Cindy and her assistant blended in seamlessly and did a beautiful job.

I did not think I wanted or needed a wedding planner. My mother said she really wanted me to have one since the wedding was out of state. So I found Cindy at Detaille Events. Out of all the people I interviewed she was the most down to earth and friendly one, as well as the most reasonably priced. (Again because I still did not think I needed one!) Cindy was awesome, she came to all meetings with the venue. She helped me make decisions and gave input on best ways to do things. She always supported me and my vision for my wedding. She was very responsive to my emails and texts. Cindy was especially great the weeks right before helping me with some of the small stuff. She was also the best person to have on our wedding day. The limo broke down and was unavailable. She fixed the situation. She kept everyone in line and on time during our rehearsal and reception. (I like to be on schedule) I am so glad I had Cindy in my life to help with my amazing wedding. Thank you Cindy!!

My husband and I were engaged and we decided to get married in the Colonial Zone of the Dominican Republic. This was not a beach wedding or at a resort were a lot is done for you so we had a look around to see what our options were for planners. My friend recommended Cindy who had done her sister wedding there the year prior. We spoke to her and felt comfortable and confident she could take on the challenge of coordinating a wedding from another country!

All along we stayed in contact via email until we planned a trip to DR all together to scout out vendors and venues. Cindy took every idea we had into consideration about decor, lighting, flowers and more and helped us to communicated that to all of our vendors. All communication to vendors was collaborative with us being very much involved as well as Cindy. The trip and the wedding itself was included in the initial cost, which was great. This might have changed as it has been several years (we went in 2015 and married in 2016). Cindy helped us come up with creative ideas to save money without being tacky which was amazing. Like repurposing our beautiful ceremony candles and flowers/arch into the hallways and reception area. Weeks before the wedding she communicated with all vendors a day plan and made sure they understood and would be there at the right times. There were moments of frustration and confusion with dealing with another country, but Cindy was always there to make us feel better and reassured us everything would be fine, which was so important and we valued it a lot. We were able to laugh and be comfortable with Cindy

The wedding turned out such an amazing experience. Selfishly, my only complaint is that I wish there were 2-3 Cindy’s the day of the wedding. One to handle vendors and day plan and another to handle us haha. She was in high demand that day and showed how important her role is and how valued she was! I couldn’t imagine having a wedding without a planner and so glad we chose Cindy. She helped us make our dream wedding come to life! When I walked out and saw everything for the first time I was in awe and couldn’t feel happier. And the evening was organized and flowed perfectly. She was always so professional, kind and responsive. Also helped us negotiate the vendor prices which was AMAZING. We highly recommend Cindy for your wedding! Thank you Cindy!

Cindy was an amazing wedding planner and helped guide us through every stage of our wedding process! We really have no idea what we would have done without her, with so many moving pieces and confusing decisions. She led us in the right directions and also always made us feel so much better when we were stressed out. After every time we met with Cindy, our actual excitement about the wedding felt renewed and fresh, and we felt constantly grateful for her. On the actual wedding day, she was invaluable. During the rehearsal, she took charge just as much as we needed her to – totally respectful and conscientious about overstepping, but also totally reliable and helpful constantly. She made everyone laugh and feel at home. She also went totally above and beyond by helping us to finish making our favors in a pinch – not part of her job description, but she offered without hesitation and saved us from losing sleep on the night before our wedding. During the wedding day, she was in the background making sure every single thing went as planned, and by that time we had built enough of a relationship to feel really comfortable with her – we wished she could have come just as a guest! She’s fantastic and highly recommended.
