This was our first time staying here at the Even Hotel in Norwalk, CT. Staff was friendly, accommodating and the room was very nice. Roomy, clean and spacious. Our experience was mostly positive with the exception of just a couple of areas that could use some improvements. Lower cover sheet for the bed could use a new cover. Looked pretty beat up (see photo). Door to bathroom needs some lubricant to fully close. Doesn’t close fully and this room doesn’t have dressers to store your clothes. However overall stay went well and we would definitely stay again.

My stay here was surprisingly comfortable. The room was clean, and the property was well maintained. The fitness center looked great although I did not get an opportunity to use it due to my schedule. The ice and water at the elevator are a great idea! I would like to recognize China for her take charge and leadership abilities. Housekeeping knocked on my door @ 0910, without regard to the Do Not Disturb hanging on the door. I brought this to China's attention. She apologized and assured me that she would handle the incident.

I absolutely love staying at this hotel. It’s very straightforward when booking a reservation. The rooms are update. Everything works and it’s a simple room design with an empowering quote, “Dream Big.” The bathrooms are fully equipped with bottled shampoo, conditioner and body soap. I never have a negative experience when I visit. I will be staying here again in the future.

Have started one night.
Clean and well maintained hotel. We checked in after 3pm but the premium room we book was bot ready and settled for a regular room. Since the check out time set for 11am, we found it peculiar that the room was not ready on a Thursday afternoon. Anyway, it was a nice stay overall

We have stayed here a few times and its been pretty mediocre every time. This time was by far the worst. The man working the desk at check in was very friendly and got us set quickly. This was the only positive part of the stay. The entire lobby was taken up by an extremely loud group of people seemingly having a family reunion with several 30 racks of beer. I dont mind people hanging out or having fun but this was loud screaming that was still going on into the night time despite the clear be quiet signage. Not one staff member told them to mind their noise. When we got to our room it was awful. It was dirty and many things were broken or missing, from the shelves near the TV to the squeaking bed that wakes you up everytime you move, to the shower falling apart. This was just awful. It culminated in check out when we greeted the woman working the next morning with a smile and friendly hello. She said nothing so we said "we would like to check out please" and she rolled her eyes and pointed at a basket behind the counter, again saying nothing. We have tried to make this hotel work as we are in the area often but when we left my wife and i both agreed we would rather sleep in the car than stay here ever again.

There's more to it than RSL. I've stayed in 80 hotels this year and this one is in the TOP 10. Can't complain at all. Very large and spacious. Very clean. Everything upgraded from the standard IHG packages.
Fitness, gym, food, bar, full tub, computers, games, outside, pet friendly and more...
The only thing I don't understand is why the same shit food breakfast that's at every IHG hotel costs $20 to upgrade.
Otherwise great place for a great price. I'd come again!

I really did not like the room. In fact one of my least favorite in recent times, and I stay in several hotels for work. There was very poor lighting all around the room. The lighting itself needs a life line by corporate. Lighting is very important.

Then there’s zero shelf space for your undergarments and folded clothes. There’s a pull down shelf from the wall that I suppose you can place your stuff on there but I want to put things away not place them where I can see them during my stay.

A little small window is all you get.
The computer table was right next to the window heating ventilation, so sitting by your computer means you’ll be directly in front of whatever is coming out of your hvac, terrible design. No direct computer desk lamp either. Worst of all I could hear all the moves that my neighbor was doing, the room and walls didn’t do well in reducing outside noise. The hotel itself may be 3 stars because of its exterior and lobby which are both attractive, but the rooms are 1.5 stars.

Sometimes you don’t necessarily need a bad experience with an unfriendly staff or a dirty room to feel compelled to write a critical review.
