If you are currently engaged and you don’t see the benefit of having an event/wedding planner, CONGRATULATIONS you are just like me about 2 years ago. Spoiler alert, this is a story about how mistaken I was. Tara was recommended to me by a close friend when I was ~1 year out from my wedding. I met with her to discuss her services just out of courtesy to my friend. Our wedding budget already felt tight to me (we were paying for everything ourselves) and I couldn’t rationalize spending more money on someone who was just going to help us plan things. What is there to even plan!?

What I know now is that hiring Tara was the best decision we made in planning our wedding. Tara has a passion for event planning. She enjoyed finding lists of vendors, weeding through the options and presenting us with her top picks (according to our taste and budget) for us to make a final decision on. Her presence as a third party in our decision making really helped my husband and I to make objective decisions rather than arguing about every detail. She is incredibly organized (I am not) and kept me on task with timelines for every decision process. She sent me gentle (and later more aggressive) reminders when I did not keep to those very well organized timelines. Her husband Chris works with her on wedding days and he is also wonderful. Together they made our entire wedding day seamless.

Tara’s pricing is super reasonable. It is based off of how far out and how involved her planning is and is not a percentage of your overall wedding budget. She makes it easy to utilize her services based on what works best for your event. Even if you have things mostly planned already, she can be a HUGE help for day of planning/coordination. Tara and Chris basically saved our wedding day by swiftly finding 70 matching wine glasses at the last minute for our reception and STILL made it back to the wedding in time for the ceremony.

During the course of planning, Tara became a good friend and we invited her and Chris to celebrate our wedding with us. It made me happy to watch them enjoy themselves at this awesome party they helped build. If you are thinking about hiring an event planner at all, you should talk to Tara. If you are looking for an event planner, look no further! Tara was amazing to work with from the very beginning at our first consultation. I knew I needed somebody to be there the day of our wedding in order to ensure everything ran smoothly, but Tara helped us with so much more. She met with us months out and more often as our wedding date approached. She was there to answer any late night texts and ensured that all of our concerns were addressed and provided us with her opinions when we weren’t sure what to do. I couldn’t recommend her enough. We finally had our dream wedding and it couldn’t have been done without her. Thank you, Tara!
