Just completed my open water certification with this place, and it was a great experience overall. If you are thinking about getting certified this is the place to do it at.

The classroom/pool sessions only took about half a day and my instructor (mike) was very knowledgeable. When it was time of the open water dives, they went right out of captains cove so if you are in the area it's really convenient. Again instructors are great, they'll answer any questions you have and make sure you have a safe dive.

The shop itself is also a great shop. For scuba gear he has a good amount of different equipment/ brands for you to get geared up. The owner Noel, is a great guy to talk to. It's clear how much experience and passion he has for diving. He is very knowledgeable in the equipment in his shop and will make sure everything is the right fit for you.

Overall it's a great place that I'd recommend if you are thinking about or already into scuba. Or if you need some fishing equipment.

I completed the OW scuba course with Jim as my instructor for the classroom and my first two OW training dives. He's a patient and knowledgeable instructor with a stellar sense of humor! Liz, our dive master, and Henry (my instructor for my last two dives) were both amazing as well, and helped me feel comfortable and confident in the water. Capt. Noel helped me every step of the way in finding everything I needed to get started and his passion for scuba is inspiring and contagious!
I'm beyond excited to be certified, grateful for the experience and looking forward to visiting Orbit again soon 🙂

I just got my open water scuba certification with SDI through Orbit Marine. I can say, now that I've done the class, these are some of the most professional folks going. Between the Captain himself with near infinite knowledge of scuba from his years of experience to all the wonderful instructors, we couldn't have chosen a better dive shop.

Noel is also the *only* one to respond to me in a 100 mile radius that was willing to give me a chance, as I've only got one leg. Nevertheless, we found solutions to work for me (despite not needing much in the way of accomodations, other dive shops just blanket refused).

I cannot recommend them enough.

I wanted to tell you that Noel and his team are awesome. What a great time I had during the training. I just completed my open water dives and now certified. 🙂 These guys explain everything in detail and show you over and over the ins and out of diving. What impressed me, is the knowledge these guys have. During my open water certification I had the opportunity to be with advance drivers. Noel reviews all the training on the boat before you go in the water so I was able to listen in and see what they were doing. I think this was great. A newbie learning even more. Based on what I seen I be doing advance training with Orbit also. So if you want to learn how to dive this is the place to go. Noels all about safety and the people. Bill

This dive shop helped me achieve a life long dream of becoming a scuba diver! There isn't enough room here to explain how much I love this place. Captain Noel and his instructors are excellent!! Their knowledge, experience, and patience is second to none. Their shop has everything a diver could ask for and at great prices! I have MS and won't let that stop me from living and enjoying what time I have left on Earth. My doctors encouraged me to follow my dreams of being a diver
and now that I have my open water certification, I feel a whole new world is waiting out there for me!! Captain Noel knew my situation and helped me get through it all. For this I am eternally grateful.

You will receive excellent service from welcoming and encouraging staff. Owner is enthusiastic about fishing and diving, and produces a friends and family type atmosphere around the shop. He will get you the fairest prices around and help out if anything goes wrong with your set up. They stock every product you could want for a variety of marine sports and recreational activities. If you’re a beginner or an old pro they have the equipment and advice you need. Their diving classes are informative and enjoyable. Learning how to dive with Orbit Marine Sports was a wonderful experience for me.

The go to place for anything scuba related in Fairfield county. From tank fills to gear to helpful advise, they do it all. Case in point, last year I brought my regulator to be serviced as it has been over two years since last service. Noel, the owner, cited the new recommendations on regulator servicing and advised me that I do not need to service mine just yet, given the sadly low number of dives it had since the last service.
