My family nor I would never recommend this facility to anyone we care about. Almost all staff came off as being bothered just by speaking to them, and this includes nurses as well as management staff. Receptionists and PT/OT staff were friendly for the most part and list ends there. Nurses were for the most part negligent and difficult to find, had very little bedside manner, and if asked for something either didn’t know the answer nor offer to figure it out, and barely even looked at you in the process.

Food was not the best and almost every day a meal was missing something that was promised.

Once our family member was sent to the hospital from the facility, not once did anyone call to check in, see how she was doing, when she may be back, etc. Essentially heard nothing from them ever again until we reached out, and were once again met with rudeness after suffering a death in the family for simply requesting a few items. Extremely poorly run facility.

This facility should be renovated and staffed with real professionals that have the patient's Best interest in mind or just close it's doors. My Mom was here after a hospital stay to rehab. Just the room alone had many problems. Her bed was broken, the closet door was broken and the toilet didn't flush numerous times and she had to use a commode. The nursing staff was inconsistent, some were good and some not just like the rest of the staff. My Mom is not a complainer, but when she couldn't reach the remote to lift up the foot of the bed it was thrown at her, then sternly told to go to sleep by a CNA. PT was good and really did help... My Mom has been on a salt restricted diet for the past 30 yrs. The food is not edible and loaded with salt. It took us 2 weeks to rehab from the damage that this rehab had caused. She was extremely fluid bound to the point of not even able to put her shoes on and having trouble walking. Her cardiologist was very upset by this... Please do not come to this facility if you have a choice go somewhere else. My Mom was a pt here about 30 years ago and the facility was privately owned. Her experience back then was excellent except for the food. I remember that she had a hamburger every day. I hope this review helps someone to not have this type of care when trying to feel better... I will say that the cleaning staff really tries to keep this facility neat & clean.

I have a friend getting care there and it's disturbing they make residents wait to get diapers changed. Some people are not able to get up and use the bathroom. So they are at the mercy of people giving thema'am I feel so bad for my friend.

Unprofessional and lack of leadership exhibited by the DNS and the administrator. I can’t visit a resident or talk to any workers without a constant feeling of harassment. I also brought in celebratory cupcakes for the therapy team to show my appreciation for the great work they do for the residents they provide care for, even though they do not get any recognition from the facility. The administrator cut my visit short as he demanded me to come to his office and explain why I was there, when I know he wouldn’t have done that for any other visitor minding their business visiting the facility. No one deserves to be scolded or belittled, especially as a visitor to the facility. As heavy as it makes my heart to say, despite the resident(s) I care to visit in the future, I will not be coming back if I have to be subjected to the same treatment I just experienced. I will also not be recommending this company for any care connections going forward. This recent visit has left a lasting effect on me, thus influences the way I will forever see this company.

My Stepdads been in and out of here for the past 4 months for rehab. He's had multiple health issues while there. If it wasn't for Anthony I would give a lower score. He always updates me as soon as I come in. The others ignore me/avoid me and make me feel like I'm bothering them. Anthony always treats me with respect and always makes time for any questions I may have. As far as the PT team, they're doing the best they can. They've had Covid outbreaks which has closed down their facility so my Stepdad hasn't gotten the amount of rehab that's necessary to get him back up on his feet or at least given us a realistic baseline. Again, not their fault. The PT/OT people are very friendly and helpful. My favorite though is Anthony. Thank you for caring and for everything you do.

Nurses care 5 * excellent service caring with love and warmth nurses Tim terrific!
Therapist excellent 5 *
Aides over worked . Assigned 2 nurses for 35 patients many with dementia . Their work load is brutal yet they work hard and do their best . Kitchen good service .
Facility needs improvement . If there wer adequate aides like 10 patients per aide then I would have given 5*
May 25,2023. I am home from the “House-of Horrors “ the staff is great, compassionate, patient and caring. The administration has to hire help for kitchen staff cleaning,NOT use the nurses for this job. Patients need their care. By this time I pray that there is improvement. I will find out.

I recently stayed here for 7 days and would like to share my experience.
The facility is very clean and the care is Exceptional. The nurses are top notch and the assistants are very attentive to your every need. The physical therapy personnel are some of the best in the area and got me on my feet very quickly. They are understanding of your pain and transition your movement with great care and professionalism.
The food is much better than can be expected and they do try to make every effort to satisfy your tastes. Keep in mind they are cooking for a lot of folks who are on a restricted diet, but they are more than willing to work with you on this.
When you need something and "Hit the Button" the assistants are there very quickly and relay any info to the nurse promptly or get you anything you may need. The rooms are very comfortable but keep in mind there are no private rooms so you must be able to share a room. That being said you should ensure that you are able to co-habitat with your new roommate, they will move you if you are having issues but understand that they only have so much room and any changes should be made quickly.
I would go back there myself or "Put" a loved one in here knowing that they are going to be WELL taken care of. I give this a GO TO PLACE for any after surgery issues you may have.

EDIT: 3 stars removed because this Facility has gone downhill in all areas since this review was written.

I’m reading the recent reviews and feel compelled to comment because my experience with GHCC was very good. The office staff was helpful, the nurses were fantastic and the rehab therapists were the best. I understand that grief is hard and people need someone to blame, but this facility does not have a separate ‘hospice area’, nor does it smell like feces!! I have recommended GHCC to family and friends, and would again.
