The owners accommodated our special requests and were friendly. They even brought us a new tube when one of ours busted half way through the trip. With the lack of rain, the last third of the trip was a too slow and hot. I’d check the water level before you go. That being said, I’ll come here again to kayak or tube. I’m glad I brought a short paddle for my tubing. It really helped.
Also, the steep walk out with my tube and other supplies was NO PROBLEM. My friend and I both have back and hip problems and we made it up the hill with little effort and a running start.

I brought my kayak and they picked me up at the take out. Great stretch of the Cahaba and its the perfect distance for a fishing trip. The parking area was clean and well maintained. They even had cell phone protectors you could purchase. Staff was friendly and courtesy. I will be back.

Had a great time tubing with Adventure Shoals. The tubes were good quality and they had different ones to choose from which was nice. The section of the river offered good flow and even though the water levels were a tad low, we made it through in 3 hours without having to get out of the tubes or walk. We didn't have to wait for pickup and yes you need to walk your tube up, but it's not as steep as some reviews suggest. Will definitely be back in the future!

My wife and I had an amazing time on a ~4 hr float down the Cahaba on July 4th. Excellent service, great prices, and an all-around great experience. Well worth the 40 minute drive from Birmingham. Highly recommended and we'll be back soon with a larger group.

This float trip was VERY peaceful and nice. It was very clean. The floats are so comfortable having a back rest. The only negative was at the end of the trip. The path to get up to the shuttle is prety steep. They parked at the top of the hill when they absolutely could have drove down to the end of the path to pick us up. They expected us to carry all of our stuff (ice-chest, music speakers, bags, etc.) AND their tubes too. I was doing good being able to climb up the incline with just my stuff. We just felt like if they expected us to carry the tubes, they should pull down closer, Or they should let you leave the float down there. Every other float trip I've been on collected the floats themselves. Over all though I was a really good time.

Great way to keep cool on a hot summer day. Very clean, well kept parking area on the Cahaba River. Float tubes with handles and backrests, as well as cooler floats are available for rent for your 2.5 mile, 3 to 4 hour float trip down the Cahaba River. A shuttle will be waiting at the take out point to bring you back to your vehicle. This is a mild float with only a 16 ft. drop in elevation over the entire route. Close toed water shoes are recommended for this float trip as the rocky shoals can be abrasive in some areas. No glass drink containers are allowed on the waterway.

Amazing! Way better than Limestome (from last year, haven't been this year to limestone), only complaint is when they pick you up, would wish for them to be down the hill to help handicap customers

TO REPLY TO THE COMMENT YALL, the landfill sign DOES NOT say transfer Station no where. It says Landfill. That's a piece of information if I was yall that I'd provide my guests knowing upon coming!

First, I communicated with the man who answers the phone a day before planning our float. Actually talked to him twice the day before. My group drives 2 hours away to use this business for a family fun day and we arrived and they are closed. . Please use your thoughtfulness next time for your paying customers so they won't waste time and gas and get turned down.
Secondly, the drive there I seen no water and was skeptical about our float as we got closer. The road this business is on also has a landfill close by. Honestly that grossed me out and when we arrived the water was so disgusting looking. Even IF they had weather issues that night I still would have never stepped foot in that water. My mind kept thinking 'is this water or wash from the landfill' that's how gross it looked.
I'd suggest not driving out of your way for this attraction because from the sight when I pulled in, it sure wasn't worth driving that far away.

Lastly, if yall are closed, put out signs so people will know and have a direction.
