Awesome experience, restored Captain’s Mansion in Mystic CT within walking distance of downtown and many shops & restaurants. This property is beautiful and the staff is welcoming. My husband and I had the most relaxing stay at Captain’s Mansion, it was the perfect place to end the year and ring in the new year. The rooms and property was exactly as described, we stayed at the Great Escape and it was quite spacious. Lounging in the common area with our coffee and a glass of wine was a bonus. The hospitality extended by Kaylie, Olga & the team were so sincere. We took the train from Manhattan and could get around to the Main Street to restaurants etc within minutes. Highly recommend this place!

There were plenty of nice amenities, high-quality towels, water and snacks.....anything you might need. The room was spacious and well-appointed. Highly-recommend.

My husband and I stayed at the Captain's Mansion to celebrate our Anniversary, and it was wonderful. The property has been beautifully restored, and maintains original details and features while also feeling updated and luxurious. We stayed in the Seaport Suite, and it was perfect. We loved having a balcony to sit out on, the bed was comfortable, and bathroom was well appointed. It was so nice to be able to walk into town, but it's set back enough that it never felt busy or noisy. |The staff was lovely and helpful, and I really liked the complimentary snack, waters and breakfast in the morning. We will absolutely stay again!

This was the first trip to Mystic for my wife and I. We searched several hotels and chose Captian's Mansion and were not dissapointed. First, the Mansion is absolutly beautiful. It is a step back in history with several beautiful parlors, a delightful breakfast room on the first floor and a variety of rooms on the second floor. We stayed in the Captian's Suit. It is a large room with a relaxing sitting room. ||The staff is very attentive and made any effort to make out stay memorable. The grounds are pristinge and beautiful. Downtown Mystic is within an easy walk from the Mansion. ||We will not have any qualms recommending the Captian's Mansion to our friends and family.

Great stay for a couple nights while sneaking away to our favorite town on the shoreline. Loved everything about the Captain's Mansion, from the comfy beds to the casual breakfast.
Why stay at a cookie cutter chain hotel out of town by the highway when you can rest and rejuvenate in this splendid 1800s beauty?!?!
Would definitely recommend to visitors looking to stay in downtown Mystic.

We loved our recent stay at the Captain’s Mansion. The property is beautiful, and it is JUST outside the hustle and bustle of downtown Mystic, so it is at the same time quiet and peaceful and close to the action. There is a nice selection for breakfast (cereal, yogurt/fruit, toast, hard-boiled eggs, pastries) and we also enjoyed the always-available snacks. We came in to town on the train (station is about a 20-minute walk) so we didn’t have a car, but we had no trouble getting to and from restaurants, attractions, and shopping. Be aware that there is a rather steep hill to climb to get to the property from town, and also stairs to get to the rooms (no elevator). The Widow’s Walk on the top floor has been turned into a charming sitting area, where we enjoyed an evening of wine and music. We definitely would stay again if we return to Mystic.

My wife and I had a FANTASTIC stay here at the Captain's Mansion. Celebrating our wedding anniversary and her birthday, Nancy and Olga went the extra mile to make our weekend super special. Quiet, immaculate rooms add to the extraordinary experience of the hotel with its history and excellent location. I really don't have one negative thing to say. I cannot wait to get back to the Captain's Mansion for another relaxing and romantic weekend. Time and money well spent.
