I cannot recommend this Residence Inn enough! It’s one of the cleanest, most comfortable, and accommodating places I’ve ever stayed. Despite some bad reviews I saw before coming, my experience here has been absolutely incredible, and I truly don’t understand the negativity.

The staff are some of the nicest, most attentive people I’ve encountered—they go above and beyond to make you feel at home. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything a family needs. The breakfast is fresh and delicious, and throughout the day, they offer thoughtful touches like cookies and strawberry- or lemon-infused water in the lobby.

One moment I have to highlight: we were watching a football game in the lobby with my 6-year-old daughter, and she started to get a little bored. The lovely woman at the front desk noticed and brought over a little drawing kit with colored pencils and printed coloring pages for her. It was such a kind and thoughtful gesture that truly stood out.

This place has exceeded all expectations, and I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a warm, welcoming, and family-friendly.

Everything is a bit dated, but the rooms have all the basic things you need for an extended stay including a small fridge/freezer, basic cookware, and dish ware. Not much around this Residence Inn except a little market area with the Jealous Monk Brewery (15 mins by foot).

Breakfast is a standard spread of bagels/toast, small selection of yogurt, some sort of eggs, waffle maker, cereals, and oatmeal.

Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Note, walls were a bit thin and the hotel does allow dogs, so every now and then, there were some barks.

Stayed here for a night away while taking our son to the aquarium. The staff and service were great, but the property itself was really run down. The furniture inside the room was damaged, the TVs didn't work (and when they did the channel selection was very basic), the bathroom was dirty, and there was what looked like vomit in the lobby by the ATM. The bed in the room was as hard as a rock - probably would have been more comfortable sleeping on the floor. Overall, not worth the money to stay here for a night. Should have just driven home.

Stayed here for a family wedding in the area. Front desk staff was excellent - Beth helped us arrange and combine 2 reservations in a 2 bedroom unit. Worked perfectly for us. Chastity was also friendly and helpful. One repair needed to be made and the engineer came up to check but new part would not arrive til Tuesday. Everything worked out OK. It is a very dated hotel and FD said they are beginning planning for the upgrade. Nice tourist area with plenty to do for families so this upgrade will serve them well. Hope it does not take too long! Saw both Beth and Chastity training a new FD person - she is lucky to have great teachers!

My spouse and I decided to break away from tradition this Thanksgiving and instead of cooking, cleaning and entertaining we went to this Residence Inn.|| Management first of all greeted us with hot cocoa, marshmallows and seasonal Starbucks coffee. Also, they prepared for all guests a full Thanksgiving dinner with all the fixings and dessert. ||We were so appreciative of the above and beyond gesture by staff and management. ||The property is just minutes away from Mohegan Sun Casino and the Foxwoods Mall/Casino. We would go there again. You guys rock!!!

A decent little 3 star motel. We had a large room with a great desk, couch, dining table and chairs and a functional kitchen with plates and such. Good bed, decent bathroom with a great shower. Average breakfast. Good wireless. Decent 55 inch tv. Shout out to Jermiaine the front desk guy for excellent service. I reported a problem with the room to him. He had the building guy on it in 10 minutes and found me at breakfast to report it was fixed! Perfect service!

Avoid the pizza place across the street. Go to Angie’s down the street in Mystic. World class clam chowder, better pizza and great grinders.

We mainly booked the Residence Inn for the option of a two bedroom suite, in order for our todder to have a separate space to nap and sleep while we could still be up and about. I was a little wary based on some previous reviews, but was more than pleasantly surprised with our actual experience. Maybe some of the interiors could use a refresh, but our room was clean, well-appointed and comfortable. The hotel is super convenient to all top Mystic attractions (aquarium, Olde Mistick Village, downtown, beaches, etc). The staff was great and helpful, especially the man who oversaw breakfast and made sure everything was stocked, clean and refreshed. We used the pool once and it was a bit cold, but our 1.5 year old was more than happy to go in - as were the other children we saw throughout our stay. We would absolutely stay there again.

I stayed at this property two weeks in a row for work and given my stays throughout the New London CT area all year, it was abysmal compared to all the others. Some highlights-|1. Soiled towel from prior guest left in room at check in|2. No wash cloths were left|3. Coffee service was not replenished|4. Bathroom light flickered and went out|5. Overall cleanliness of the room and common areas was disgusting|6. Card readers in the laundry room inoperable|7. Breakfast essentially inedible|Each day I had an issue I lodged a complaint with the front desk yet nothing was done until a second complaint. The overall attitude of the staff was non-caring and unhelpful. |I have stayed at the-|Marriott Mystic|Fairfield Uncasville|Summerfield Suties Waterford|and all are exceptional compared to this dump. Marriott really needs to pull its franchise from this one and call the health department. I will leave a zero star review encouraging all tourists or business visitors to stay away as I will. Does not matter that I am Titanium Elite. No lodger deserves this treatment.
