I came with a strong pain in my lower back and they attended to me immediately and the doctor was very kind. They gave me an injection. 30 minutes later I began to move my back without much pain. Thanks to all the staff who work hard for all the patients.

Absolutely terrible. Came in BY AMBULANCE bc of body convulsions and heard/watched the EMT and charge nurse (Karen.. of course) blatantly talking about me with my room curtain wide open without even being spoken to yet. Karen also said “he can wait 5 minutes” to the security guard who asked if my boyfriend can come in, even though by time the 2nd nurse had come in to place an IV (that had no need to be placed at that time), I was begging for him to be allowed in. I saw a doctor ONE time and he ordered me a pregnancy test that I didn’t ask for and then I was discharged with no reason as to why this happened to me, OH and they couldn’t explain why my blood tests show an infection just to put the icing on the cake. This ED sucks and always has. Awful staff. And you can never get an actual answer!! Gave 2 stars because I had one kind nurse that made the others easier to deal with.

Do not go to this emergency room. Although I did receive a little bit of help, I came in in the worst pain of my life after a back injury from processing lumber.

They got me from a pain level of 10 to maybe a six enough to help me sleep for a few hours. Then basically sent me home with a Band-Aid like it was going to miraculously disappear. I truly needed help nothing long-term just something for breakthrough pain for the next few days while my wife was out of town and I’m taking care of my young stepdaughter.

That made me go through the embarrassment of talking to the patient advocate who did absolutely nothing for me. They are treating me like a scumbag addict that came off of the street Looking for drugs.

I am A medical professional and I work in navigated in robotic Neurosurgery Brain And Spine. They want to blame it on the epidemic, but then when regular people truly need help you get Treated the same as any Drug seeking addict off of the street it is pathetic. I am also a combat veteran, and this is the treatment that I received. They now treat everybody the same you’re guilty until proven innocent. It doesn’t matter now because now I have to fight for my right to not be in pain instead of being able to Heal up and feel better. I have to argue with administrative people who could not care less about helping patients all this from your very own Yale health system. What a joke and a disappointment

Intake, triage (Nurse Bob), the nurse, radiology and doctor have all been fantastic and everything has been timely and smooth.

Today was the very first time I came to this facility to have my routine mammogram and ultrasound. I feel it is important to express that my experience was horrible. I found that both the person who did my mammogram and the person who did my ultrasound were extremely not helpful nor empathetic with any answers to any of my questions. I will make sure I never go there in the future for any further screenings. I left that facility with questions unanswered and a full anxiety attack. No professional should be allowed to put that upon any patient, I don't care what your protocol is!!!!

If I could give it a lower review I would.I grew up in Connecticut and worked at Yale University for years. Things have really changed. I had the flu with a high temp couldn’t breathe, barely walk or stand up and was told to leave because they needed the room and I wasn’t sick enough. Dr could care less. I did get a ginger ale out of it for an expensive bill in the thousands. After insurance I still got a hefty bill beware before you go here. They just don’t care and it’s a shame to see. The quality of care at Yale WAS impeccable but I can see the real motives here now. STAY AWAY LEARNED MY EXPENSIVE LESSON!!!

Some context before I leave my thoughts. I’m a 22 year old white male. When I went to the ER it was late and there were very few people in the waiting room. I was experiencing chest pain that was unusual to me. Now, I didn’t get a sense of any attitude from anyone. They were all receptive and understanding of my concerns. Karen W. was wonderful even though there were complications with my medical records. Something logistical that I’m sure is frustrating to deal with; having to contact other hospitals. All the other staff was exceptional as well. My doctor and the woman who xrayed me also seemed to be interested and companionate with my situation. As a person who struggles to feel like they’re deserving of that amount of medical attention, I am truly grateful. Even though my results came back clear and it seemed to be brought on by stress and anxiety, they had nothing to negative to say and only gave recommendations as to what may help, as well as their best wishes. Thank you all at shoreline!

We unfortunately paid a visit here tonight with our 18 month old daughter. From the second we walked in we were greeted and taken seriously. After giving info we went to triage and the nurse was so good with our daughter. The woman upfront came back and gave my daughter a stuffed animal to help calm her down. We did wait a little while but, that’s to be expected. The PA that treated us was wonderful as well. Thank you to everyone who made this visit as comfortable as possible.
