The "average" rating is because of the type of hotel it is, not because there was anything wrong. This is a fairly basic hotel, which is consistent with its brand. The owners have tried to add some nice touches, and I appreciate their efforts. ||The hotel is very clean, which really was my main criterion in choosing it. It's very conveniently located, and as a solo traveler I felt both the hotel and the area were safe. ||I wish the hotel had suites as a room choice, because I prefer a bit more space. But otherwise the hotel met my expectations and I would have no qualms about going back.

We stayed here for one night and was pleased with our stay. My main requirement for a hotel is cleanliness! Our room was very clean and the bed linens were crisp and fresh and spotless. Extremely important! They offer 2 bundles of assorted towels neatly wrapped in plastic bags tucked in the bathroom cabinet. Really appreciated the amount of clean towels! We were on the ground floor and it was very quiet. Nice, modest hotel with super clean beds and bathroom.

The place was fine, but the owner tried charging me for a whole extra night because we checked out 10 minutes late.

This hotel rates 3-3.5 stars which is completely appropriate. I stayed here one night recently in the middle of a longer drive on I-95 and the hotel was clean, functional, and convenient. It is a two-star hotel with two-star amenities (e.g. the waterproof shower curtain was missing) but in the surprisingly rural-ish stretch from New Haven to New London this hotel this hotel met my needs. Note rooms on the street side will have some road noise in the morning.

Excellent hotel. Very spacious rooms with plenty of storage, and good food. The staff members are also very polite and kind. We stayed there for a competition and they bought us a cake to congratulate.

Really just ok. There were what looked like giant boogers stuck to the ceiling and not much in this place was convincingly clean. There was someone else’s hair stuck to the shower wall. Mattress was old and hard but they put a topper on it as they must know they’re uncomfortable. But it was the only place that had last minute availability for this weekend so it is what it is.

Tip: get a room on the back side facing the woods for a quieter night. But the roadside didn't seem too loud. Breakfast is okay, but many restaurants are close by including Starbucks and Dunkin Donuts. Room was clean, bathroom was up to date. Front desk woman helped us with the printer jam in the business center.
