I can’t express enough how grateful I am for the exceptional care and compassion shown to my loved one at The Guilford House. My mom, Barbara Jean, lived at The Guilford House her last 3.5 years and passed while there a week ago. As heartbroken we were we cannot say enough about the loving care she received from all her caregivers. She felt safe, well cared for and made many friends (with the staff as she liked to stay in her room). Mom had a good sense of humor and always tried to have fun and was was appreciative and thankful always.
I thank the staff very much for their loving care. I cannot thank them enough, especially Laura, the nurse whom was her nurse from first entertaining for short term rehab until her death, hugging her and letting Barb know she was very loved

Came here for a trick-or-treating event with my kids and could tell it was a really great facility. The staff were so nice and more importantly the patients seemed very happy to be there and were so excited to see the kids and be around them. Would definitely recommend this place for you or a loved one!

Our Dad lived at Guilford House last winter. It was not a good experience for us or for him. They had him stuck as a Hoyer lift and made no attempt to wean him from his catheter. The PT staff left him for dead, saying he'd never walk again. He spent every day in bed. Disheartened, we moved him out. Now, a year later, he's not on a Hoyer, but rather is a one-person transfer and his new facility has successfully removed his catheter. He enjoys PT, walking on his walker and eating meals in the dining room. We cannot believe how the staff at Guilford House had given up on him. Cannot recommend.

My mother spent two weeks at The Guilford House for short term rehab after brain surgery. It was our first experience with any nursing home and it was an extremely positive one. The staff was polite and respectful. I visited everyday and saw the owner there and engaged with the residents. My mother was very happy with the OT and PT staff. She was fond of her nurses and aids. I want to thank the social working, Lisa, who was so informative and kind. We enjoyed sitting out in the beautiful courtyard during our visits. They made sure to get my mother to the dining room for meals to socialize when I wasn’t there. I know it is never an ideal situation to have a loved one in a home, but overall I was pleased with my decision of the Guilford house.

I can only speak from our experience but in my opinion, Guilford House is a standout on the shoreline for rehab facilities. Each facility has its pluses and minuses, its own set of challenges, but we have seen a level of service here that is far above the normal level. My Father has been in and out of hospital/rehab for 4 months now and this is the 4th facility that we have been to in that timeframe. The facility is very clean and well kept, the staff is polite and very helpful, and we are impressed with each passing day here. If you have never been to other facilities you might not appreciate the efforts here. If you have been to others, it is clear to see that things are different here. I would recommend this facility without reservation.

A big thanks to the management and staff at the Guilford House. Both of my grandfathers were admitted in 2020. They both received nothing short of the most exemplary care imaginable in their time at this facility. The staff was extremely informative and helpful during a rather difficult time for my family and I. The overall cleanliness of the facility was something that stood out to me during my visits. I can’t say enough about the courtesy of the management. The Guilford house truly sets a shining example of how a rehabilitation facility should be run. Thank you!

My grandma stayed at The Guilford House for rehabilitation after a surgery. The care she received was steps above any of the other rehab facilities in the area. The building and her room were like a resort. Nursing staff and upper management were always checking on her. The physical therapy department was great and so was the food! The building and rooms are kept immaculate. 5 stars!
