Our new favorite stopping point between Virginia and Maine! What a charming inn and in such a cute town. The rooms were very well done, but we did have a premier room type that looked out over the front lawn. It was such a sunny and bright room, which was clean as a a whistle! The bed was very comfortable, too. I loved the common spaces as well. Omelettes to order the next morning were very good, as was the cookie offered at check-in. The cherry on top was the service from the front desk. Mallory was running the place the night we arrived and the next morning. She is very, very good at her job! Just the right amount of friendliness and efficiency! She was so welcoming, and it made the whole experience just that much better!

My partner and I just had our second stay in this location. Rooms were fabulous, breakfast was delicious and filling, service was great and over all vibe was to die for. Very cozy/ chill energy. Staff was kind and very helpful. We have made this location our must stop once a year to get away from the NYC hustle and bustle. You won't regret it 🙂

We held my sister’s 40th surprise birthday party at The Litchfield Inn. Words can’t express how above and beyond the Inn went for me and my family. They were so professional and made sure to help in any way they can to make the surprise a success! The Gathering Room worked perfect for our event. It is so beautifully decorated I didn’t have to do any extra. The staff is so kind and professional. The rooms make for a comfortable, relaxing stay. You truly feel like you’re on a vacation away from the hustle and bustle. Thank you for an unforgettable night my family and I will cherish forever! We will absolutely be back!

We had the pleasure of hosting my wife's baby shower, and now our son's first birthday party here. The owner, and his staff were a pleasure to work with. Both events were very well organized and exactly as promised. All of our guests raved about the catering, and the service as well. I highly recommend it for small, and large events. We had a wonderful stay at this cozy inn! From the moment we arrived, the friendly and helpful front desk staff made us feel right at home. The room was spotless, with a comfortable bed and fresh, soft towels that had a lovely scent (no bleach smell here!).

Breakfast was a delight each morning, and we loved relaxing outside by the fire pit in the evenings. The indoor fireplace area was equally inviting, with comfortable seating, a fantastic library, and an array of board games that kept us entertained. It was the perfect place to unwind, chat, and enjoy some downtime. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful, homely getaway!

Fantastic experience at the hotel. Feels warm and inviting with high end touches throughout the hotel. Enjoyed the common spaces throughout the stay and found the gym to be an added bonus. Very clean! Highly recommend, you won’t be disappointed.

Disappointed with our special country get away. After staying there, I think it is best suited for a wedding, a corporate meeting or a family with kids, not a romantic overnight. The room was average, clean, but we expected something more elegant for the price. We were on the first floor and had to listen to hours of pounding feet above us. They have some pretty common rooms decorated as you would expect at a country inn, but the breakfast room was dark and not attractive. The breakfast was no better than you could find at a chain hotel - coffee, juice, cereal, dry bread and pastries, at a self-serve bar. We did have a decent omelette after we inquired, but it was not the charming inn breakfast we have experienced at other country inns. That said, if you need a place for a large group, we expect they do a decent job.

Every year, my wife and I drive up to Litchfield and have a wonderful experience at this inn. You are welcomed with fresh baked cookies and courteous staff who are very genuine, accommodating and affable. The inn includes several amenities, including fire pits, large adirondack chairs for viewing the beautiful scenery, a polished yet cozy room for hosting events, and several lounging areas to sit, relax and read a book while a fire crackles in the background. The rooms are very clean, fastidious and comfortable – especially the beds which are like clouds. You can tell they invest in premium materials for sheets, blankets and mattresses. The rooms are nicely updated, and the showers have superb water pressure. The entire hotel is very aromatic, they use various diffusers with clean yet subtle scents that put you at ease. Breakfast is amazing and boasts a full omelet station, fluffy pancakes, sausage, bacon, fruit and more. Syed and his team are always wonderful hosts and go the extra mile to make our stay amazing, even going so far as to ship an item we left behind. Thank you for another excellent visit, we look forward to seeing you again next year!
