What an absolute jaw dropping Inn. This place was 3 1/2 hours off of our road trip course and it was worth every second. The entire staff. ENTIRE staff was amazing. Front desk, bellman, housekeeping, wait staff, groundskeeping, all of them. The rooms are extremely clean, spacious and comfy/cozy. I could stay here for weeks and never leave that’s how “at home” they make you feel. They were wonderful. My daughter has wanted to go here for a long time because of the inspiration of the Gilmore Girls and we were not disappointed. The inn itself has an entire sheet of things to do Gilmore girl related. |I left my pillow here tho and I’m now 7 hours away ☹️

Spent a girls weekend at the Mayflower Inn & Spa. The accommodations and spa treatments were lovely and definitely lived up to expectations. However, the weekend experience was negatively impacted by poor quality service on multiple occasions.

Despite having a brunch reservation (which was made weeks in advance) on Saturday morning, we waited at least 15 minutes to be seated in a half empty dining room.

At dinner in the tavern on Sunday evening, we were seated for our reservation in a timely manner, but then sat for at least 20 minutes before I eventually had to go back up to the host stand and point out that no one had yet come to greet us or even offer us water. This was made more frustrating by the multiple servers who were very clearly looking at our table and making eye contact with us, but no one made any effort to try and actually speak with us to see if anyone had helped us yet. They eventually sent someone and we were able to order dinner (not the best food quality, considering the prices.)

Later that evening, we had hoped to sit by one of the Inn's fireplaces to enjoy a glass of wine and conversation. I walked to the bar to try and buy a bottle of wine for this purpose. The bar itself was completely empty except for a table of 2 eating dinner. The bartender was mixing a drink and I wasn't able to catch his attention so I obtained a wine list from one of the waiters. I then proceeded to sit at the bar for 10 minutes with the bartender actively ignoring me and never once asking for my order. I finally gave up when a girl (who seemed to be a regular patron) walked in and he quickly greeted her and asked for her order. I might as well have been invisible.

The Inn and spa were lovely, but the food and beverage service was absolutely abysmal and I certainly won't be returning.

We had a very disappointing experience during our stay - due to construction being done on the Main House and the service being poor. We felt tricked as we were notified after booking (a very expensive room) that the Garden Room was closed. We arrive to discover not only is the Garden Room closed, but there is a food truck outside the main entrance preparing the food (which was a limited menu). We waited long periods of time for breakfast and couldn't find a server for drinks. The prices for the food were extremely inflated, and the quality was not worth it. We also were surprised that all of the wellness classes were not free for guests, especially given the inconveniences we had. Not sure if this is all due to it being January, but given the prices we paid, there's no excuse for this.

Had an amazing winter getaway with my husband. The Inn was so pretty and decorated beautifully for the holidays, our room was great, the spa was one of the best I've been to, the food was delicious and the staff and service were excellent. Can't recommend it enough! Looking forward to going back.

Worth the drive and the expense. It’s truly a level above comparable properties in terms of comfort and service. Having previously visited for dinner this was our first stay and we are so glad that we decided to spend the night. The staff, the spa, the room were all a step above our expectations.

Nearly met my standard " the room must be quiet as a tomb" threshold, hence the one-star nic on the room rating. Said nic resulted from regrigerator humm. Everything else was absolutely supurb. What a staff! Great place. World class, in this world traveler's opinion. Spa is completely off the hook as well.

The rooms are beautifully decorated, staff is friendly and welcoming, experiences and spa are great, and food is tasty and presented well. The service was professional but welcoming and made you feel extra special. The bed and pillows are like sleeping in a cloud!

Our wedding weekend was completely ruined by James Russell’s gross incompetence, lack of professionalism, and outright disrespect. From the planning stages to the event itself and even after, everything was mishandled. The tasting menu wasn’t rectified until the week of our wedding, leaving us stressed and scrambling.||||The in-room breakfast on our wedding day was appalling—stale bagels, gray lox, and a massive bowl of raw onions that left our bridal suite reeking. The dinner portions were far too large for a tasting menu, completely ignoring our request and leaving guests unable to finish the six courses.||||We had confirmed late check-out in writing for all guests, yet James failed to deliver, forcing family members to miss our farewell brunch. When I tried to address my concerns, James fled the property and later resorted to name-calling and ridiculing my family.||||This was supposed to be the happiest weekend of our lives, but James’s unprofessionalism and blatant disregard for our requests turned it into a stressful and disappointing experience. Avoid at all costs if you want your event to go smoothly.
