We had the most fantastic stay at the Homestead. |Probably the best Bed & Breakfast we have experienced. From perfect accommodations, excellent bedding, convenient location, clean quiet rooms, friendly staff and delicious breakfast. Coffee made to order? No problem. Nothing is spared, the host demonstrates an extreme attention to detail. We were pleased to find a towel warmer so getting out of the shower became a treat in chilly December. Clearly a very well managed place and totally unpretentious. You just feel at home (but even better!). Our room was very dog friendly, with it's own entrance and patio. The living and dining rooms were comfortable gathering places for us to chat with other guests. The Homestead could be the destination by itself.

Wow! Look no further when booking your stay in Madison, CT. The Homestead is the place to be. Conveniently located near Clinton and Essex, there are so many options for day trips. The cozy fire, the in-keeper’s cappuccinos, freshly popped popcorn, no detail was left undone. Enjoy heated towel warmers, vitamin E shower heads, high thread cotton sheets. I could go on and go. This place is truly special. Ralph (owner) understands the importance of creating an inviting and stylish aesthetic for his guests to enjoy. Can’t wait to return this summer!

I recently stayed one night at the Homestead with my small dog in one of the dog friendly rooms. The room was beautifully appointed, bright and ultra-clean. I could not have asked for more gracious service.

My wife and I spent a night at The Homestead for a quick getaway during peak fall colors season. It’s a quick drive from the heart of Madison, where we did some shopping, checked out a movie, and had a great dinner in town.

We checked in late, but the folks at Homestead were great about accommodating us—there were delicious cookies and a bottle of port left out for guests! The room was clean, cozy, and well appointed.

The next morning, we had a terrific breakfast and chatted with Ray, who is a fantastic host and so helpful. There is a great little pooch, too!

We are so grateful for the folks at The Homestead and can’t wait to come back when we can next get away!

This B & B was amazing! Our room was one of the largest we have ever stayed in. The amenities were great from personalized music in each room, towel warmers, complimentary port wine in the evening, snacks, and more and more. Outside seating was great with fire tables. Bikes were available. The list goes on. Truly wonderful attention to details. Innkeepers were so very helpful. You will love this place. We took advantage of the state park with beach just minutes away. Beautiful! Would love to come back if in the area.

The Homestead Madison was lovely. Super cozy and clean. All the innkeepers were very friendly and helpful. There’s a dog, wild turkeys, record players and albums, bicycles, fun decor. It felt like a very safe environment. Very comfy beds. Delicious free breakfast. Thank you!

I stayed at the Homestead for a work event, and I cannot express how amazing my stay was. Ralph, the owner, is so fantastic.

Heartman, the owner Ralph’s dog, was so sweet! And once he got comfortable with you, you were able to see his funny personality.

The housekeepers were amazing. Brit made me breakfast in the morning after a long travel day, and it brought tears to my eyes. I evacuated from a hurricane coming towards my home, and that little act of kindness truly made my day, and made me feel safe at the Homestead.

The home is beautiful. All the rooms are very unique and homey. Ralph always had fantastic stories about all his knickknacks around the home. He has paid very close attention to VERY detail in the home. It left me in awe.

I am looking forward to staying here again! The location is beautiful, and truly feels like a home away from home.
