Review Methodist Medical Center in Mansfield, Tx: Overall Rating: 97
Medical Center Clean: 100; Overnight staff: 100; Surgery staff: 100
Surgeon: 100; Food: 95; Check in: 70; Room: 100
Patient REVIEW DATE/TIME: 2/04/2025 – 2/06/2025. Arrived 5:15 am Tuesday am. Check in was subpar. Surgery Knee replacement went smoothly we were updated via phone calls and the surgery waiting room was great with TV and an electronic bulletin board with the patient status. Everyone related to the surgery was friendly and very professional.
About 1 hour after the surgery, I was notified of my wife had been placed in a room on 4th floor this required access to Elevator B near the café which was located on the south wing of the hospital.
The room was spacious and had a larger restroom area in the room. Everything was clean. The staff in this part of the Medical Center was extremely nice. I really hadn’t been in such a clean modern hospital in quite awhile but this place really impressed me.
The food menu had a lot of options and the food tasted really nice. The whole staff keep giving us updates and really seemed to give us up to date information on everything. I would recommend this place to anyone that need surgery.
DR. SHANE T SEROYER from TMI that did the surgery was top notch. My wife was actually walking with a walker 4 hours after her knee replacement.
Note: they were cleaning the room when I took pictures of the room.

We've had a positive experience for the most part since we've been here. Almost a week so far. The nursing staff and doctors are very thorough and kind. They make sure all of your questions are answered and they let you know everything they are doing and why. It's a beautiful hospital and very clean too. 😊

I'm here at the hosptial now. When they admitted me I could walk or barely breathe without throwing up. Told them pain was above belly button. They decided it was my appendix or Colin. Did colonoscopy wasn't appendix or Colin so they decided to put in discharge paperwork even tho I feel exactly as I did when I came in. Just a little less pain because they had been managing it for me. I had to convince the nurse how concerned I waa to leave, mainly because when i tried to express my concern to rhe dr i got blown off n told i was leaving anyways. Actually tool 2 emails frlm the nurese to the dr and the sepcnd tome the dr read and ignored it. I felt like where they checked wasn't even where the pain was and that I had felt the exact same as when I came in. Then they decided to do an endoscopy. Didn't find anything.
Im editing this a third time because cerbally they said they didnt find anything. On the paperwork of my endoscopy it says i have a hiatal hernia. Which is funny because thats right where my pain is and has all the exact symptoms. N yet i guess thats nothing. Just exactly whats wrongnwith me. Im convinved ag this point that since they did a colonoscopyfirst that i got confused on whwre my pain was. My pain never moved. I kever told them my pain was in any different location. I told them it was at the top of my stomach and they tested the bottom of my stomach
And they are ready to discharge me even tho I feel exactly the same. On the original discharge the dr was going to send me home with antibiotics. I asked several times if I had an infection and was told no or idk but they think this should help. This second time they want to discharge me which is right now. They are falling it a stomach acid issue. But they've been giving me iv acid meds since I been here for the last 5 days. So now I'm being discharged with acid meds that I've been taking the entire time while in the hosptial and hadn't done anything to help. I guess is supposed to help if I take it orally outside the hospital. I feel the same as when I got here. I was here 3 months ago with the exact same issue they called it colitis gave me anti bionics and that was it. I'm seriously concerned thag I don't feel comfortable expressing this with my Dr. She doesn't seem to listen to me when I tell her something. I truly feel like she's just trying to get me out so they don't have to deal with it anymore. Idk what to do. I have anxiety n social anxiety so just like forcing my voice or my opinion on people is not easy. Just wish I could get better. Second time in 3 months there's gotta be something

Ok I'm still here but I'm about to leave get this. They came in n said they been giving me anti biotics for this n thay but dunno if I have an infection. Which scares me a lot because that's what I've been leaning towards but I'm not the professional. According to the nurse they hadn't really tested for it. So I told the nurse dr said I can leave when I'm ready right. She's like yea as soon as your good with your diet. N I just looked at her cuz she knows I'm not going yo be able to eat it n hold it down. N she was like well if that's what you want. I said ok what would my other options be. She kinda didn't say anything n I was like because there really isn't any right. She's like yea. N I said ok np go get the dr so I can leave. She's like you can tell her the anti acid isn't working. I said ok but I know she's not really willing yo try n figure out what's wrong with me. I told the nurse if I'm being honest I truly don't think it's all of a sudden acid especially since the nurse told me I had been on anti acids since I got here. And that I truly don't believe the dr knows what's wrong with me but that she also doesn't wanna try n figure it out. The nurse just kinda nodded like yea...

Take that how yall want. They will openly acknowledge they don't know what's wrong with you. Even if you were just here 3 months prior they arnt going yo try n help you figure it out. They are going to guess and check 1 think then discharge you to whatever they can come up with

I visited this hospital in June of this year due to extremely high blood pressure. My complaint is not necessarily about the service I received, but the fraud that was committed against me. The physician claimed he listened to my heart and breathing. He did not. He claimed he checked my abdomen for tenderness and listened to my bowel sounds. He did not. He claimed he checked my back for tenderness. He did not. He claimed he looked at and felt my appendages. He did not. He claimed he checked my extremities for normal range of motion. He did not. His nurse took my blood pressure. I was sitting in triage and he spoke to me for 90 seconds. They labeled me a level four patient which gave them the ability to bill me for just shy of $5000. I have filed complaints with the hospital twice to try to correct my medical record, but they have refused to change anything. I will continue to tell the truth online, so that other prospective patients know what to expect from their dishonest physicians. Be your own advocate. No one at this hospital is advocating for you. In this case, they were all about money.

It will be our first choice when needed. Overall it is the best hospital system in Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex. EXCELLENT SERVICES. We can rate it for TEN ⭐️ if we can. We strongly recommended it.

Update:

When I am expressing this feeling, my brother is going through many illnesses. It was admitted to the emergency room at Methodist Medical Center Mansfield, TX (Feb.19, 2024-Mar.15, 2024) and was discharged. Unfortunately, he had to be hospitalized again the next day because of heavy blood loss. After being here for a week, the illness could not be cured, so he was transferred to Methodist Charlton Medical Center (3500 West Wheatland Rd. Dallas, TX) and stayed here for two days and one night. Because his illness was very serious and required more special equipments, they once again transferred my brother to Methodist Dallas Medical Center (1441 N. Beckley Ave. Dallas, TX) until today. He just got out of surgery two days ago and is still in the ICU. Doctors said that because of the serious nature of the diseases, they will monitor and treat them for about another month. My brother was very young and healthy until he got the Covid vaccine. We have been following him every day to help take care of him and give him emotional support, so we are tired and bored. I am at the hospital and commenting for you clearly. I hope my brother can overcome his critical condition soon. I sincerely thank the hospital system for its help to my brother. I will update more after my brother is discharged from the hospital.
Methodist Dallas Medical Center (Mar.29, 2024).

Update:

Until today (April 09,2024), the hospital staffs have given a total of 42 blood transfusions to my brother, and overall his body has stopped losing blood. Hopefully my brother will be discharged this weekend. I will update more. Thanks for your interest.

Update:

My brother was finally discharged from the hospital. He said that going home was probably only in his dreams. He said he missed home a lot, missed family meals, and missed the sunshine. Today, he is satisfied. Even though he returned home, he still had to be continuously injected with medicine for 3 weeks to kill 2 types of the viruses (each bag of 8-hour infusion was carried with him).
We all ended up on a painful journey together. As people often say: without the health, you can't do anything. The health is more precious than the gold. Thank you to the doctors, nurses and all hospital staff who dedicated their efforts to treating my brother. I am extremely grateful to you. Wishing the hospital good luck always.

Very nice and respectful doctors and staff. Explained in detail every step. Kept checking on me when it was my meds time and checkup. I gave no problems and let them do their job. Very clean hospital. Never had surgery before and they made me feel comfortable and safe. Would def come back when needed, hopefully never. My daughter was here about 3 weeks ago when she got bit by a dog and they are such good people.

1/28/25 I called 911 the Cedar hill fire department ambulance insisted on taking me to Methodist Mansfield. I was told that Baylor Scott and white Waxahachie, and Methodist Midlothian wouldn't accept me. I later found out that was not the truth. At Methodist Mansfield I was badgered to answer many questions I was sick and frustrated. I gave flipping response to harming myself. Drank to much. I received virtually no care. I was to be transferred to another facility for detox. When the paramedics came to transport me they refused they stated my vitals were at unsafelevels..the attending nurse had not monitored my pulse and blood pressure .another nurse had to step in and held up the transfer paramedics for 30 minutes to control my pulse, blood pressure, nausea. I came to the e.r. for help. What I got was ignored. Unknown to me I was transferred to Mayhill hospital a mental hospital. I got no help and was punishment. I called the hospital today explained my concerns and got complete indifference. Summary no one here gives a flying flip. The worst hospital experience of my life. I now have trust issues. Don't expect help at this hospital.

It’s nice to walk into a pleasant atmosphere and be seen quickly. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The tech doing my procedure explained what she was doing every step of the way. Her instructions were clear. I didn’t feel like any time was wasted.
