Went with three friends for ride and campout . What can I say, we had a truly amazing time. Had a smile on my face on the ride the whole time, and camping out under the stars was amazing. Carlton our cowboy guide was a great guide and a splendid cook. Had a very tasty steak around the camp fire. We pulled our cots out of the tents and slept gazing up at the stars. Watched the sunrise drinking coffee around the fire and felt like 'proper cowboys'. ||In the morning went to the shooting range with the very colouful cowboy Dave and lived out more of our cowboy fantasies. My advice would to definitely choose the camp out option for the full immersive experience.

Went for an evening meal and campfire experience. It was a welcoming experience, waitress was friendly, we were seated at a shared table with other guests, was nice to find out about others and their trip experience to the area.

The Buffalo burger and BLT were great, tasty. No vegetables though ? we got a side of kettle chips, no great with a burger.

Cowboy Dave was the highlight and really made the experience fun - lots of singing and engagement in the restaurant.

The campfire was great, smore ingredients were provided, so make your own ? and again Cowboy Dave made the night, lots of conversation and singing around the fire, the guests we were with also helped with the experience ?

What a wonderful experience we had at the ranch, from check in to check out we were made to feel so welcomed. The ranch has lots on offer from horse riding to shooting lessons. The staff were so friendly, the restaurant was great and the food choices extensive and delicious. Campfire singing and s'mores with Cowboy Casey were brilliant and such a fun way to meet others. My highlight was a personal shooting lesson with Cowboy Casey, he made me feel at ease with easy instructions and I even managed to ding the bell with a couple of my shots. If you don't mind rustic then you must go to the ranch, you won't regret it!!

Fantastic location in the middle of nowhere – at night the sky was full of stars. A 15 minute drive to Grand Canyon West entrance. The problem is amenities. I understand that it is not a 5 star hotel but a canyon lodge. Nevertheless I think one might expect a decent level of cleanliness. Unfortunately I found the following problems: to start with the toilet got clogged after first use! It was at 8.30 pm, just after our arrival. When I reported it at the reception the receptionist suggested that I unclog it myself using UNCLOGGER (because maintenance staff just went home)!!! Finally a friendly employee of the ranch did it for me. The toilet itself and bathtub were very dirty. Only a tiny shelf for cosmetics. The state of water hose of the toilet indicated that it had not been cleaned for a long time. Washbasin was far from perfect too. On the bedsheet there was a long black hair on it. We had a cabin and a tent. Floor under beds in the tent seemed to not have been cleaned for months. Considering that one night is around $ 200 the owner should make substantial improvements or advertise it as a hostel of low category and lower prices by at least 50%.

Grand Canyon Western Ranch has a great location 15 minutes outside of the West Rim of the Grand Canyon. We stayed in a pine cabin 11 with a queen, twin, and a bunk with a full on the bottom and twin on the top.

Pros: great location, easy to find, staff are extremely friendly, food is good with large portions, and plenty of hot water in the shower. Air conditioning/ heat worked great.

Cons: the staff are a little disorganized/slow. We wanted to do a horseback ride and called to put our name on a list a few months before our stay. I was told they would call us a week before if we could get the ride, because they’d book excursions from Vegas first. They never called so I assumed they filled up, but when we arrived they said we were down for the ride. The cabin had a musty smell, but we stopped noticing it after an hour or so. The full sized bed on the bunk had a mattress that was like a pullout sofa: very thin/springy. The restaurant service was… not good. We weren’t in a hurry, so it didn’t really bother me.

Would I stay there again… maybe. Would I recommend staying there? Sure.

Here’s photos of the current menu since I couldn’t find them online before our trip.

If you want a legitimate get away from reality then this is your place. It's out in the middle of nowhere with a beautiful mountain view and an amazing view of the stars. The staff is so friendly and Cowboy Dave is wonderful. The cabin was clean and cozy. Highly recommend!

Was here in aug and this was one my best stays in US. Its middle of nowhere, no phone and internet. Great food and surrounding. Beautiful nights. Very comfortable cabins. Nice and friendly staff. This definitley deseved more days of stay. Parking can be done beside the cabin. Its 15 mins away from grand canyon. If you are astrophotography lover you will find ample dark skies with bortlr 0 zones here. Totally loved it and great place for families.

Everything you would expect!!! A real working ranch with GREAT staff, horses and amenities. I would highly suggest the campout. Cowboy Colton was as good as them come. Aware of riding levels horses abilities and a great cook also. This is a true camp out no frills just a great ride, beautiful views, campfire, tent & cots. Sunset, stars and sunrise were amazing. Campfire conversations kept the experience going. Wildlife could been seen of all kinds. I will be booking again very soon, I have found my new vacation spot. Again thank you to all the staff for the hospitality and great experience.
