This place DENIES SEEVICE ANIMALS and has a creepy maintenence guy that hangs around outside yoy room watching your every move ... I would nkt recommend staying here ... infeel safety due to this certain maintained man is a serious issue ... and they jump to conclusions without even talking to yoy u and call the cops to waste town resources ... horrible service rooms are nasty and holes in walls door locks don't really work

It is what it is. Yes, Naugatuck Motor Lodge is one of the cheapest rooms you can find in this neck of the woods. And yes, we have stayed there many times, because it's cheap and conveniently located. Unfortunately you get what you pay for. The walls could use fresh paint, and it's hit or miss on the furnishings and lamps being undamaged. Also, NOT ONE bedspread I've ever seen there has been free of BURN HOLES. Why?
Just, WHY?
BUT- the staff there are really nice, and even though the property is very shabby, they work hard to make what they have as clean and tidy as possible. So, "Yay!" to housekeeping!

After we paid for the room and got comfy they gave my friend a hard time about his service dog and kicked us out. We have an 8 months old baby and are traveling through state. I let my baby crawl on the the floor on a blanket and looked in his hand and he had a piece of wire brush (I’m an adult btw not stupid). In his hand. People are sleaze balls. It’s cheep so there’s that but not worth the owners being so in your business to cause problems.

Actually a pretty nice motel I never knew existed until a month ago! It's quite clean, I like how they still have smoking and non smoking rooms! Big rooms. Can easily fit 4 people if you bring an extra queen air mattress!! Plus location is in a prime spot with a bunch of businesses and right by Route 8!!!

First, I must ask...how has this place not been condemned? How does the health department and the city of Naugatuck actually allow them to do business? The room is absolutely FILTHY. My wife and I are just ordinary people. We realize it's a cheap room. And although we didn't notice when we reserved the room that it was a smoking room, there has to be 10 years worth of stale cigarette stench embedded in the walls, carpeting, bedding, ETC. We have in the past stayed in smoking rooms. Hell, there was a time where ALL rooms in some hotels were smoking rooms. But I in my entire life(and I'm 57 years old), I have NEVER smelled such a stench. There are big stains on the chair and lamp shade. There is crud(probably mold) all through the bathroom and along the hot tub. Again, I must ask...how are they even allowed to stay open, especially during the pandemic? || We complained about the smell( before we even entered the room). They refused to refund our money. We have this room from July 3-8. We just went ahead and got a room somewhere else. NAUGATUCK MOTOR INN IS NOT SAFE FOR HUMAN OCCUPANCY.

Surprisingly the rooms are decent and there is smoking allowed and despite the location next to main road, its relatively quiet. Got a good nights sleep here. Not bad for the budget price of $52, and no tax.

Definitely getting what you pay for. Carpet is dirty, linens are full of burn holes, tv is fuzzy and some channels barely come in. There are dead bugs and cobwebs on the shelves and black mold in the shower. They do an absolute half a $$ed job of "cleaning", DO NOT look under the bed because it's apparent they do not move furniture while vacuuming. I understand it's the cheapest around but they take absolutely no pride in their establishment. The staff is extremely rude and borderline creepy as they stare at you while you're outside or if your window is open.

Courteous staff, clean room, comfortable bed. Sink and tub were aged and showed it but serviceable. Pillows were a bit lame. No shampoo in the room. Pretty good overall, but some of the stairs need work done on them.
