The Lounsbury House is a true gem located in the heart of charming downtown Ridgefield. From the moment you pull up and walk by the sprawling front lawn and beautiful blooms in the garden, to when you turn to take in the grandiose home with the sky high white pillars and wide welcoming stairs that lead to the front door and wrap around porch, your breath is already taken away by the beauty that stands in front of you. Once you walk through the doors and are greeted by Suzanne, you can feel the warmth and light of the home and Suzanne’s passion for the history it holds. Being from Ridgefield, I have been fortunate to attend many events from weddings, soccer club fundraisers, and wine tastings with local sommeliers. If you have a chance to take a tour, or attend one of their free events, I highly recommend doing so, so you can also experience the exquisite and magical event space.

The Lounsbury House is the perfect location for an intimate wedding. We had about 45 people and it was the perfect size for us. The venue is beautiful decorated, modern but still true to its history.
This was truly the most beautiful location we could have chosen for our winter wedding this year.

The Lounsbury House was the perfect location for our wedding. We had 90 guests and September and cannot say enough about this beautiful venue! From the bridal party suites, to the gardens, to the reception hall and dance floor this house is just stunning. If you're looking to have your ceremony onsite they have a beautiful private garden area for that too! We ended up deciding on a religious ceremony and there were tons of churches close by to chose from. The town of Ridgefield is just adorable as well and makes for the perfect wedding weekend.

Beyond the beautiful facilities, Maggie was so kind and easy to work with. We had a ton of little things we wanted to do (petal toss, streamers, etc) and Maggie was so accommodating. She truly made sure we had our dream day. If you are looking for a stunning and intimate wedding look no further!

Every event and occasion at the Lounsbury House is exquisite. The stately, elegant space can transform to any theme and is an ideal spot for celebrations. As a lifelong Ridgefielder, it's been incredible to witness the home house so many memories for the town as well as friends and families. The thoughtful renovations and upgrades have modernized the space while paying attention to historic details that are part of the town's history, The Lounsbury House is accessible for all, has a top notch, helpful staff, and is in the best location on Main Street. My favorite event each year the venue is the SPHERE Holiday Party, a magical night for the members and volunteers of SPHERE, Inc!

A magnificent piece of Ridgefield history built in 1896 by former Governor Phineas Lounsbury. Now a National Historic Site, the building has been lovingly preserved and repurposed to serve an entire community as a gathering place for all of life's milestone events. A ten out of 10!
