Popped in for the first time and was not disappointed. I got a pint of their yellow lentil and potato soup with a toasted pita. I am trying not to eat the whole soup in one sitting, so tasty!

There seemed to be a lot of happy regulars inside, the employees were so kind and remembered them all by name.

Thank you for a great experience, I’ll be back for a spicy wrap I saw someone eating 🙂

Being from Western Mass, we discovered” this place while in the area and my daughter was looking for a FedEx drop off. While waiting, my husband and zo wandered in. We decided to get lunch, and the food is amazing! Now we stop by every time we are in the area. Great selection of products in the store as well and the staff is super nice. I wish we lived closer so we could try more food on the menu.

Been coming here for years, always great service and food.
The falafel sandwich is delicious I always get it with hot sauce and no onions.
Baba Ganouj is creamy and tangy served with a good portion of bread, and the hummus as well.
As you can see in the pictures the selection of foods from all over the Middle East is amazing from olives to pots and pans.
The outside seating area is beautiful. on sunny day it makes you feel like you are on the beach.
Store is clean and food selection is great.

Cannot say enough positive things about Tangiers! It's a staple in the West End, with some of the nicest owners you'll ever meet. These guys are true gentlemen who understand hospitality like nobody else! They make spectacular food (the mujaddara is a personal favorite) and the store is welcoming, accessible by foot and with ample parking. It's the best place for lunch in Hartford!

Tangiers is a market that has middle eastern/Mediterranean staples. From hummus to grape leaves, Tangier has it all. The highlight of this market is the grill located in the back of the market. The lamb gyro was perfectly seasoned and absolutely delicious. The falafel is my favorite item on the menu. So flavorful you would forget it was vegetarian. The sandwiches are $8 but worth every penny.

I don't know what rock I was living under. What a hidden gem, to me at least. Delicious kofta kabob and lamb gyro. Fresh hummus. Yummy desserts. Now the chicken chickpea curry over rice pilaf was underseasoned but everything else is top-notch. Come ready to spend some money. New loyal customer.

Wow..! Every time we swing in to the Hartford area we make sure to stop into Tangiers. Unique middle eastern grocery store where you can pick up sweets, fresh bread and the basics such as sumac, zaatar, tahini and olive oil. They cary products from all over including some hard to get Palestinian products.

We order grilled chicken over salad and a dozen falafels!!

They have the best falafel that I’ve ever tried and I’ve tried many. You can tell the oil is high quality and changed often so it’s never off tasting. Incredible!!!

The staff are great. Very welcoming and make you feel at home.

These are the best falafel in the history of falafel!! I've had falafel in London, D. C., NYC, Texas and these are still hands down, the best!! The new location is bright clean and organized. The owners are so kind and friendly. They are passionate about their food. I was told that this was an old family recipe. 10/10 highly recommend
