I would like to extend my sincere appreciation and gratitude to the administrator of Montowese. Each day, I quietly observe her unwavering dedication and the genuine care she provides to both residents and staff. My aunt is a patient here, and she has consistently been treated with kindness, compassion, and respect. Under her leadership, Montowese has improved significantly from what it was a few years ago. She goes above and beyond for both residents and employees, never seeking recognition, yet her efforts truly deserve to be acknowledged.

My mom was at Montowese Rehab for a little over 3 weeks. The nursing care that was provided to my mom was what you could only hope for when having a loved one enter a rehab facility. They were kind, compassionate and thorough in the care that was given. It was actually sad when my mom was being discharged as we had grown close to some of the nursing staff that had been involved in my mom’s care. Thankful to have had a wonderful experience as a family member for a patient who was at Montowese.

Facility was clean and neat. Food seems plentiful with daily choices. Staff were pleasant and quick to respond to call lights. Social service was available and willing to answer all questions.

People don’t send your love ones to this facility!!!! My wife was there and it wasn’t good , they will ignore you and the more you push that button the longer they will ignore make you wait . The compassion for patients is almost nonexistent.. attitudes from the nurses desk’s is terrible!!! This place staff needs to be dismantled from the top to the bottom.. sensitivity training is a must in this facility for patients … one make nurse and he was not good ,the food My wife said she was hungry one day I think it was her first meal they gave a type 2 diabetic two pieces of wheat bread in a substance that look like devil foods ham spread on the bread.. the next night they gave her a chicken pot pie

My aunt is staying there. She is not a difficult human to look after. Every time she calls for help they say what’s up!!! What’s up!!! What is this language? What about ”do you need anything? Or are you ok”? What’s up is so disrespectful.

It was “what’s up” when we asked for a cup of ice on the intercom. It was whats up when I asked for extra help to pick up my aunt and help her sit down. I went to the front desk and they ignored me for few minutes. That is not ok to treat people this way when you all get paid for it. It’s your job to listen and be nice to the patients.
Whats up when I ask for any kind of help. Where is normal supportive staff? Some people In this rehab are really scared and not mentally ill. It’s so sad how rehab staff rule the world and treat patients.

We learn in school it’s not polite to say what’s up. So why would be this ok with elderly in rehab facilities? Caregivers get angry too if you ask too often for a help. I thought rehabs suppose to be pleasant and not torture. Elderly are just ill people. Why to treat them so poorly?

Was here for 10 days, not as a resident but a private aide so I assisted the staff in providing care to a resident on the first floor. The staff really work hard but there were some that really stood out in a very good way… I’m going to list them cause they deserve some praise or recognition. However, I feel bad because I wrote a list and gave it to the director or ambassador Jo’anne without taking a picture of it so I could have all the names for this review. So I’m hoping Jo’anne gives them their flowers as well because it’s not an easy job. Ive seen them work with not just my client but the other residents who are not always so kind to them. So if you have a loved one that needs rehabilitation I would recommend they come here because of these people listed here(there’s like 5 people missing from this list);

Other important things to know:
*Cleanliness was a 10/10 place was very clean
*Dietary/Kitchen staff 10/10
*The Recreation/Activities person she had curly hair, glasses, and blues uggs made sure to get residents out of their rooms and engaged in activities she is excellent.

Very attentive, professional and pleasant staff. Facility is clean, with no foul odors noted. Glad National healthcare bought them!!!!
