This property is at the "high end" of the Holiday Inn BRAND in every way. The rooms are standard fine, but the pillows are great and full size. The toilet paper is high quality. The eating area is way above the high end of the Brand! Comfortable, clean, and welcoming... Better selection than most and the warm cinnamon buns are great. Above all, the PEOPLE are terrific, especially the Manager who came out to help an old man (me) clean the 6" of snow off of my car (many thanks)!

Nice hotel, clean, good location. Delayed in posting about my experience here but can't say enough about what made our stay there so memorable. By far, it was the personable service we received from the front desk staff member Ricky. He was professional, accommodating, kind, and willing to assist however he could. Despite a very busy front desk, he took the time to assure we had what we needed and everything was taken care of for us. He definitely deserves recognition for what he brings to the front desk service - best interaction we had with any staff there.

This review is long overdue but I have to take the time to acknowledge the staff at Holiday Inn Express Branford - notably the service we received from Ricky. From the moment we arrived at the hotel, he accommodated our every need - from room availability to special requests. He did so with a smile and kindness. A special note as well to Michael who accommodated a special need as well. These two men were exemplary. The hotel was clean and updated. Good location. Would definitely stay again.

Honestly this is your best choice in the area, other hotels are not as safe or clean. This hotel always makes me feel comfortable, safe and its affordable. Its definitely still a little expensive for what you get, but you have no other choice. This most recent stay the staff was excellent, polite and nice. Rooms was spotless, my only complaint is that the heat was turned up high and it was very difficult to cool the room off. We had to turn the AC on and even still it felt like a sauna in there.

We will continue to stay here though, like I said, clean, polite staff, safe, and nice amenities.

First I met Ricky on the phone - Big personality, excellent PR. Next was my room with a note from the Management Team - Brian and Ricky. Room was spotless and that continued during the week! Excellent housekeeping. Breakfast - they had REAL scrambled eggs. Lastly I meet Brian who assisted me in printing a document from my flash drive and was of further assistance when I had to depart early, forgot my pajamas which he had housekeeping retrieve for my granddaughter to pick up. All in all, it was as close to a family environment that I've experienced in chain hotel. Congratulations to a great team!

We stayed with a large group of family for a wedding. The hotel was perfect! First up the staff was amazing leading up to the weekend and during the stay. The manager helped with confusion with reservations, the front desk had speedy check-in.

The lobby is large with lots of space to gather. This was used during the day, evening and the next morning during breakfast. It was a great place for us to visit over breakfast.

The rooms are a good size, clean and very comfortable beds.

Also to note while there is no restaurant or bar, there is a great pizza and sub place next door (Marcos) and a liquor store right next to that. Both were recommendations from the front desk that worked out perfectly.

I had an amazing stay here. Thank you to the staff, they were ALL very nice and friendly and very helpful. The bed was the most comfortable I've had in a hotel, ever. The room was very big and had everything you could need. Breakfast had many options.
The bus stop to new haven is right in front of the hotel, which is convenient - though it is not indicated well.

The staff, from desk to cleaning staff were very friendly. Loved the welcome with lemonade and cookies. Both were so good! I wish that IHG would add USB-C ports to their rooms and put better shower heads in their baths. They all have the same poor water distribution. The clock in our room needs to be replaced. The hour kept changing, ie. 1 hour ahead then suddenly an hour behind and then 2 hours behind then back to an hour ahead.

The desk staff are ready for anything. One evening, I needed a fork and with a smile, the clerk pulls out a large mug with individually wrapped plastic utensils. Everyone on staff had a smile. It was nice.
