Was there for a wedding. Was not happy about the food, was undercooked cold, and had no flavor. You're better off eating before going there. Service was somewhat slow. Beautiful setting.

The Owenego Inn is a hidden gem on the coast of Connecticut. I recently photographed a wedding there and the warmth of the staff is unmatched. The location provides so many opportunities for portraits. This unspoiled charming coastline venue is something you can't find anymore. You have got to experience it for yourself. The lawn under the old growth oak tree with the ocean in the background is something you will only find in Connecticut at the Owenego. The delicious hors'deuves enjoyed on the deck by guests is the elevated coastal vibe that we all look for and the food is wonderful. Thank you for your beautiful space and being a wonderful host Owenego.

We recently held my mother's celebration of life at the Owenego Inn, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. John, the owner, and his staff went above and beyond to ensure that every detail was taken care of with care and compassion. From accommodating our special request for my mother’s favorite drink to be served at the bar to providing exceptional service throughout the event, they made us feel like family. The venue itself holds a special place in our hearts, as my brother and sister-in-law were married there over 26 years ago, and it still exuded the same magic and charm. Situated on the picturesque shoreline of Connecticut, the location added to the serene atmosphere of the day. The recommended caterers, especially Gourmet Gallery, seamlessly worked with the venue staff to create a memorable dining experience. Overall, the Owenego Inn provided the perfect setting for a classy and well-put-together tribute to my mother's life. We are forever grateful for the warmth and professionalism shown by John and his team!

When you arrive you’ll be shocked in the best way, it’s even more beautiful in person. Incredibly clean spaces, the people who work there are very friendly and helpful, and it is such a relaxing space to be in. We only stayed one night which was a mistake! We will be back for a longer time next year.

My husband and I got married at the Owenego in May and it was a dream come true. Pat, John, Meg and their entire team were the most incredible venue hosts, and kept the day running so smoothly (even when things with outside vendors went sideways - they were there to save the day).

The Owenego is an incredibly special place and was exactly what we wanted for a classic but laid back wedding on the shoreline. The gardens, the charm, and the stunning views made for the most spectacular day - it rained and it was still as gorgeous as I could have ever hoped for.

The planning process is also a delight, as the team was always happy to hop on the phone to talk through a question or a nuance, unbelievably patient, thoughtful, and genuinely cared about making it a special day for us and our guests. Our vendors were always delighted when they heard we were getting married at the O, which was a sign that we were in great hands!

Beautiful place to come hang out at. Live music, friendly bartenders, great pizza truck(Franks Wood Fired Pizza). Owner was also very friendly.

This is an awesome New England style shoreline venue. We were married here in the gazebo overlooking the Thimble Islands. We went with round tables white table cloths white China which the venue supplied. We opted for a buffet which offered a chicken dish, fish dish and beef dish, an array of vegetables. The staff Buffet Presentation was amazing and very classy. Some of the dishes were presented in boat shaped dishes and they had gorgeous flowers strategically placed flowers. The food was excellent. They announced one table at a time to go up to the buffet so it was not like a huge line waiting for their food. I was able to have the chairs covered in a white material with gorgeous bows on the back of them. Each table had a bottle of red and a bottle of white wine on the tables and we had open bar. The staff was kind fun and so considerate to our needs.
