Grace, calm, and creativity, Tara embodies everything we were hoping to find in a wedding planner. We would 100% recommend her and the Scheme Events team to other couples. Drawing inspiration from our story and that of our families, Tara transformed our ideas and wishes into a cohesive, beautiful event that felt authentic to us as a couple. Along with placing my husband’s grandmother’s origami on the cocktail tables, she thought of placing playing cards matching our stationary design and spoons at the tables as a nod to how my husband and I met. Other highlights include her ceremony design, which featured a spring garden-inspired floral arch that could be repurposed for our reception, helping us be efficient with our floral budget and fulfilling my wish for all the color. Going with Scheme’s full service planning package with Tara gave us 15 months of stress-free fun, a creative outlet through which my husband and I grew closer as a couple, discovering our mutual tastes and planning ways to delight our family and friends so they could enjoy the night with us after traveling cross-country and internationally for our destination wedding in Las Vegas. Our number one priority was guest experience, so we were overjoyed to receive heartfelt praise and thanks from guests, some of whom said it was the highlight of their year so far and in the top 5 weddings they’d been to. We even inspired some of our friends to plan for their own wedding someday, one friend expressing the hope that hers will be similar to ours in terms of overall feeling and vibe.

~Discovery / packages / venue search~
Scheme stood out to us for the sheer diversity of events in their portfolio across styles, locations, cultures, and of course, couples. I was also impressed by their support of non-profits like VOW for Girls to end child marriage. Initially we reached out to Tara in December 2021 seeking day-of management, but after a great intro call with her, where we felt like she truly “got us,” we knew we wanted to book with her.

~Event design and planning process~
Aside from brief, quarterly calls, Tara, my husband, and I largely communicated via comments in Aisle Planner, a software for wedding professionals. Around 9 months out, Tara collated our inspiration images to share an initial design proposal. She readily incorporated our feedback, and we moved forward with excitement on the second version with Tara recommending some star vendors to round out the team. At 3 months out, Tara set up weekly touch-base calls, gently keeping us on track with a friendly nudge when needed for things like the daunting task of writing our own vows. Tara also helped us navigate the sensitive activities of building and adjusting our guest list, tracking RSVPs and fielding requests from our family on the ceremony program.

~Day of~
Tara and the Scheme team coordinated with the other vendors seamlessly in the background, and at the end of the ceremony, we were actually slightly ahead of schedule. Tara took care of all the details, likely many that we didn’t even notice, but also things like helping light and extinguish the sparklers safely for our final posed photo. She stayed past midnight to help with tear down and to check back in with my husband and me and our families one last time, professional and thoughtful through the end. We cannot recommend her enough, and are so grateful to Tara and Scheme for the beautiful memories we will cherish always.

Tara from Scheme Events was absolutely incredible! She helped with everything! We live in Boston (I grew up in Las Vegas) and more than 95% of our guests were either traveling from the East Coast or from outside of the Vegas area, so we needed full-service wedding design and planning. Outside of the entertainment we wanted to have and the venues where we wanted to hold our church ceremony and reception, we felt lost initially. Tara shepherded us through the entire experience with grace and ease in less than 10 months!

Tara more than exceeded our expectations! So much so that we ended up giving her more of a "bonus" vs. a "tip." What really sets Tara apart is her kindness, compassion, flexibility, expertise, calm composure, creative problem-solving skills, and all-around five star service. Our wedding was a dream. Our guests said that it was the best wedding they'd ever been to and that they had so much fun.

Thanks to Tara, I was able to maintain a very low amount of stress headed into the wedding and throughout our wedding week. I would recommend Scheme Events to anyone, but especially to busy professionals who are looking for a high-class and fun wedding experience delivered by top-notch and exceptionally kind professionals!

We got married in October 2023 and Scheme Events was absolutely perfect for our wedding day. It's difficult to put into words how exceptional they were. My wife and I couldn't have asked for a better partner in planning for and executing on our big day. Paulina was our main point of contact and she was knowledgeable, experienced, responsive, timely, collaborative, encouraging, and everything you could want in a planner and coordinator. Our wedding wasn't easy - we were shuttling our 100+ guests to a remote wedding ceremony in Spring Mountain Ranch and then back to a reception in town. Tara and her company, Scheme Events, were instrumental in making our wedding more successful that my husband and I could have ever imagined. I was referred to Tara by a local Vegas wedding planner who was unavailable to do our wedding. My husband and I were looking to have as about as non-traditional of a wedding as we could get, and we were having a tough time finding a planner who's work reflected that they could step up to the task. Tara and her team brilliantly rose to the challenge. She suggested some killer venues, designed a one-of-a-kind wedding space, hooked us up with a dope DJ+Sax duo for our entertainment, sprung into action to help coordinate a surprise freestyle performance by a friend of ours, and made sure we had the best photographer and videographer to document it all. Tara really advocated for us and our ideas allowing us to always feel empowered during the planning process. She respected our budget and made sure we did not overspend.
The best part about working with Tara was her energy. Always calm. Always bright. Always compassionate. I thought I would be a useless bundle of nerves on our big day, and Tara made sure that did not become a reality. From initial phone meeting to the wedding day, Tara was a joy to work with. I thought wedding planning would be the absolute worst, but thanks to Tara, I was spared that fate.
