Husband and I used this vacation to check out the area for future kid friendly vacations. The beach is beautiful! A handful of restaurants nearby within walking distance, but you really need a car to get around. Visiting in early March, the weather was on the cool side (upside -no crowds) so did not use the waterpark next to the hotel. Instead, we went to Busch Gardens one day and took a boat tour another day. Also, we drove to GC McGough Nature Park, and enjoyed observing turtles and other wildlife, along with a nice walk on the trails. Nice little park here for kids. Kudos to hotel staff, especially Kayleigh, Madison and Jim. They were exceptional and always very accommodating. One negative about the hotel was no hot water. Maintenance did come the first day right away to fix, but it never stayed hot. Will consider staying here in the future.

We were very excited to stay here as a family and with our friends and their family. While the location is nice and very close to the beach there are several things that were not great.|1. You pay an $40 per day resort fee and do not get your rooms cleaned, or in our friends experience have the cleaners walk in unannounced and then quickly shut the door and leave.|2. You get 1 water park pass, and then have to pay a minimum of $50 for 2 others to go in, even when watching your child.|3. If you just want to watch your kiddos swim you get 1 hr for free in the morning and 1 hour free at night otherwise you must pay to enter the water park which is where the hotel pool is.|4. We were in a room with a kitchen, dinning, living and it was filthy. Our feet were literally black the floors were so dirty. Our fridge did not work and had to be replaced within an hour of being there.|5. We were giving 1 towel for an entire family for showering. (Again cleaning never came to replace or add while we were there for 5 days)|6. We were pre-booked for this hotel months in advance and the check in process took 45-mins. Extremely slow.|7. The elevator nearest the water parks floor is literally caved in and covered with a rug.|8. The rags to use in the kitchen were filthy and stunk.|9. We opened the dryer in the unit and the lint catch was broken off and hanging there.|10. The couch felt wet it was so dirty, you touched the pillows and could feel the filth.|11. Neither bathroom door shut correctly because they are so uneven and crooked so it was not safe for small kids to close them on their own.|12. The pool and waterpark attractions were absolutely freezing.|13. Lastly the first time we walked in our room it smelt so horribly of fish and the smell never went away the entire 5 days.||My family has been on many vacations and was extremely disappointed in the over all expierence and would not ever be back. We hope that anyone with small kids or a family knows these things ahead of time

The New Hotel Collection Harbourside Resort is a great place to stay. The hotel is minutes from the beach. The accommodations are comfortable. The staff is very pleasant,. They want your stay to be a great experience. Mariah, one of the hotels front desk agents, who I interacted with on numerous occasions, is very pleasant, and goes above and beyond to make your stay a great experience. There is a hotel fee that one must pay upon check-in, which is $200+, and is a charge for the water park. I didn't use the water park. We are a 68 years old couple, and did not use the water park, nor did we want to. But, the fee is charged regardless. Parents with children enjoy the water park. As an elderly couple, I feel if you aren't going to use the water park, then the fee should be waived. Why should everyone have to pay for the water park if you are not going to go? If you want to go, there is a daily charge. For couples who are not going to go, the fee should not be charged. I will be coming to Indian Rocks Beach again, but I will be looking for another resort that does not have a water park.

Our stay at this hotel was very disappointing. We encountered multiple issues that made it difficult for our family to enjoy our time there. The first room we were given had cockroaches, and the floors were not clean. The provided dishes were in poor condition and unusable, which was inconvenient for our big family.

We had to move rooms three times during our stay, and unfortunately, there was no hot water in any of them. Additionally, the pool was advertised as heated, but it was extremely cold, making it uncomfortable for our kids to swim, which was a big letdown.

While we had high hopes for this trip, the overall experience fell short. Unfortunately, we would not recommend this hotel and don’t plan to return.

Kayleigh, Madison, and Amy were amazing. They are Rockstars at what they do. Really nice property, was impressed. Murphy in 3005A. Great place to bring your family. The rooms are like mini apartments. Was impressed. Will be back in the future.

This really isn’t much of a hotel. It‘s a time share condo model that sometimes rents out rooms. The „lobby“ is in a different building, parking is separated, and the watermark is a separate business, you only get a voucher. It really all feels disjointed and the room itself is of very basic motel standard. This shouldn’t be advertised as a hotel. It isn’t.

I own a company that does first response emergency services. I booked 5 rooms the first week, all for less than 1600.00 per week. The management knew us very well, why we were there and that we needed the rooms for at least 2 weeks. The day before we were leaving, I went to extend my rooms - my rooms went to over 3400 per week. They said they could not price match the previous weeks rate. I stated that it was not price matching because i booked direct, and all i wanted to do was extend my reservation. The general manager said there was nothing that he could do and that I would have to call the reservation desk on Monday. New hotel collection owns 4 pieces of property. He could have easily called a boss or member of ownership to plead our case to extend our reservation, but instead, the New Hotel Collection decided to price gouge first responders there to help rebuild their communities.

I wanted to give families curious about this resort a sneak peek into its amenities, particularly the accessibility features for individuals with disabilities. About five years ago, I began blogging and reviewing travel destinations. I took a break during the pandemic but have recently picked it back up.

This resort is nestled between private beach coves and a stunning harbor. The nightlife is either on-site or just a block away, and I’m currently enjoying one of the most secluded beaches I’ve visited in a while.

The walk-in pool is especially noteworthy for its accessibility, ensuring all guests, including those with disabilities, can enjoy it. The staff and locals are incredibly welcoming, making you feel right at home. Plus, the nearby hiking trails, nature reserves, and the delicious food and drinks just a few blocks away add to the experience. Always a bonus for Super Noah runs

Each morning, I wake up to the sunrise streaming through my bedroom window, and in the evening, I enjoy sunsets from my front porch. The wide doorways are perfect for accommodating the Super Noah jogger stroller—an absolute bonus when we travel.

At night, the boardwalk comes alive with live music, drink specials, and picturesque views of the boats and harbor.

Overall, this is an ideal spot for both families seeking a relaxing retreat and couples looking for a romantic getaway. Come take a stroll down the lazy river with me and explore this gem!
