The staff is great and the units all look to be freshly renovated! Its a must see. This is your only chance to wake up and watch the most beautiful Florida sunrise over the lake with a mossy oak swaying in the breeze with an owl perched on its branch as you hear the screech of a bald eagle in the distance about to start its daily fish hunt

This place is a hidden gem. My favorite go to spot and I try to go a few times a year. This is a must go to place well maintained and very clean. Perfect place to get away and enjoy. 10/10

The experience was amazing. My contact was Diane, the directions and information she gave us was excellent. The cottage is cozy, clean, fully equipped kitchen, and nice bathroom. I would recommend it to everyone. The only disappointment we had was the Wi-Fi. We were unable to connect during our stay to the Wi-Fi. It worked out fine. We had hot spots on our phones. We had an amazing weekend.

Let's start with the cons. The room, patio, and furnishings need refurbishing! We stayed in cottage # 3. The outside chairs were rusty and falling apart. The stove was all rusty and pretty much unusable. The pier was in disrepair and needed a new paint job and refurbish. ||||The pros: Beautiful location! Great view of the beach, clean, white sandy beach. The room had all the necessities we were looking for, as long as you didn't need a stove. There was a microwave which was very convenient. The sink, refrigerator, and kitchen area were clean, as was the patio. The bed was a bit tiny for two people, but we managed. The bathroom was spotless. The outside area was really restful. It had a picnic table and BBQ grill.||I would recommend bringing your own chairs if you want to relax outside as the ones they have are old and a bit uncomfortable. Other than that, it was a great stay! For the price we paid, it was worth every penny. Don't expect too much. If you're going to relax and get away from it all, this is the place! We will be coming back again. An easy drive from Broward County down State Road 27. Can't wait for our next trip.

The place is not bad. The location is good. Living conditions are good. It would have been more stars, however, there are a few things to note...
The reason you do not see a picture of the shower in the cottages is because... there is almost none. Nothing to show. 🙂 You have little something with shower head and the curtain. Same as on a cruise. 🙂 Very small shower space. Just enough for one person to stand up. 🙂
The access to the water is only from cottages. Other houses are behind cottages.
The paperwork is old. The boat dock was redone (it's a plus), but the paperwork describing rules of using the dock is obsolete and incorrect.
You could deal with all this. 🙂 All this is nothing in comparison to a rude management. I'm not sure if Diane is the owner of the place or just a manager, but don't count on friendly customer service or to be treated as a client. We were talked to as if they paid us money and we owe them something. Plain rude. Good thing you can reserve and pay online. 🙂 Better not call with any questions if you don't want to ruin your day...

We stayed in one of the little cabins right in front of the lake. It was clean with everything you need. The view was so beautiful. The lake is pretty quiet, so kayaking is nice. The water level was low being spring time, but I'm sure the dock is nice for fishing later in the year. It's a great place to just lay in the sun or relax in the shade under the big trees. It was a little chilly in the morning so we went for a quick visit to the museum in town, which was kind of cool. We cooked on the grill for meals which was nice having the picnic table right there and watching the sunset from the dock with a drink was so relaxing. Diane, the manager is nice and makes you feel welcome. We'll be back to stay again.
