My husband and I stayed here for our 10th wedding anniversary in December. WE LOVED it! From the boat ride out to this little island to the gourmet food we had ordered and delivered it was great. We would definitely recommend this little private island. It was very cold when we were there, however, the tiny woodstove inside the tent kept it nice and cozy along with the extra blankets Calvin dropped off. I feel this is a place I would like to see in all seasons. We also took a lot of awesome pics we are making into a coffee table book <3 Calvin was a more than gracious host. See you soon.

I wanted to do something special for my 50th birthday and when my husband found Little Raccoon Key while researching Jekyll Island I knew it was where I wanted to go. Calvin and Dave made the ride over to the island one filled with a lot of history about the area; they are great tour guides. The island is beautiful and very diverse; you will see beaches, marshes, and tidal wetlands. We really enjoyed spending today exploring and I took tons of pictures. What I am posting here is just a small subset, if you go on Facebook and search for Little Raccoon Key you should be able to see the album of pictures I posted. We had them provide our meals and everything was easy to reheat and tasted wonderful. The tent takes glamping to a whole new level. We both slept great. Well at least until the raccoons decided to walk on the roof of the tent. There is a reason they call it Little Raccoon Key! We are already planning on our return visit next spring.

Sarah and I had the best weekend ever here! The king bed and toilet were really nice for our style of “glamping”! Calvin, James, and Dave were a wealth of information about the history of the island and surrounding areas. It was absolutely magical. I recommend it to anyone that is up for a breath taking adventure! We found art made by nature, and even caught our breakfast! I give this trip five stars~outstanding

Beautiful island! Definitely must check out if near Jekyll Island. Great getaway for couples, parties, or just a solo vacation. Some of the best sunsets and sunrises we’ve seen!!

We booked this trip based on the LRK website pictures, information and other reviews. Our stay was on June 8, 2018. While the island was as stated, the tent was not a "glamping" tent as advertised. We paid almost $400 per night for our stay. The tent screens were torn on both ends of the tent. Concrete cinder blocks were holding down the tent floor on both ends. The tent had a hole in it where the stove pipe exited the tent. It rained in the afternoon and flooded the tent floor. The tent was advertised as a place to get out of the weather- where you would not get wet. While the tent may have been in good shape for the other reviewers, when we arrived the tent was in very poor shape, dirty, screens torn so bad that they need replacing. While the campsite does have a toilet, it is a typical outdoor camping toilet like you would find in a pop up camper, not what you would expect at an advertised "Glamping" luxurious tent facility. We asked for and received an early pick after only one night. We were well prepared for the typical weather, bugs, and raccoons that inhabit the island. We did not feel like we got what we paid for, almost $400 a night for a "Glamping" luxurious experience due to the condition of the tent. We have documented the condition of the tent. On pick up, we had a walk through with the property owner and pointed out the shape the tent was in. If you are looking for a "Glamping" luxurious camping experience then I would ask the owner if the tent been repaired and cleaned. At almost $400 a night the tent should be in pristine condition, clean, intact, and appear as advertised in the promotional pictures. We booked a 3 night stay, but due to the tent condition we left after 1 night. We have asked the owner for a refund for the 2 nights unused. So far he has refused.

What a wonderful place! The temps had to be equal to that of Mars in the middle of July, but the breezes were wonderful and the solar powered fans lasted all night long. We stayed dry and safe during the lightening storm/monsoon that surprised us in the middle of the night in the large and well appointed tent.
Swaying in a hammock, listening to the windchime-esque sounds of what seemed like a billion crabs scampering across the oyster shells was the epitome of relaxation. There are beautiful views from every spot on the island.
So much thought and consideration has been put into this island and it shows. No less than 18 gallons of water was provided(with it very clear they'd be happy to bring more should we need it) for hand washing and showering. We were provided meals that easily heated on the propane grill in 10 to 20 minutes and were absolutely delicious! Dylan happily helped carried all our stuff from the car to the boat, from boat to the camp site and back again at the end of our trip. Captain Jamie was an excellent captain and generously would not let us leave our fishing trip until we'd caught something!
This was the perfect relaxation vacation and I hope to be back!

My day trip to LRK island was absolutely phenomenal. The weather was beautiful and the island was so much fun to explore. On the boat ride to the island I got to see an abundance of wildlife Including pelicans and a pod of dolphins. Calvin and Elizabeth Collins were great hosts of my trip! I'd highly recommend you visit Little Raccoon Key on your next vacation.

I booked a glamping weekend for a bachelorette party at the beginning of November, and we all had an amazing time. The bride is very outdoorsy, but her bridesmaids are not and Little Raccoon Key provided the perfect balance of ruggedness and luxury. Calvin was careful to explain the campsite, amenities, and activities really well leading up to the trip and once we arrived by boat from the Jekyll island marina.

The tent was roomy, the beds were super comfy, and they had everything we needed available at our fingertips. We also opted in for the beachside dinner cooked by chefs from Del Sur which was DELICIOUS. It was truly a once in a lifetime experience.

If you’re looking for a unique vacation where you’ll get a chance to enjoy nature and unplug from everyday life, all while getting to sleep on a memory foam mattress- this is the right place for you!
